The hotel is situated on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood. There is no hotel name at the door so you must look for the building number to find it. It is relatively close to some attractions, and there are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. It's not close to the beach or Jaffa. My room was a one bedroom apartment with a lot of art in it (the hotel has a lot of art on the walls) The living area was very spacious, small kitchen area with a small fridge, and an ugly thing where you can hang clothes. The bedroom was a bit tight, bed and pillows just ok. Bathroom was small and so was shower area; I kept rubbing against the shower curtain when showering. Towels were placed behind the door, away from shower and sink, which was odd. Toiletries came in cute test tubes, which were impractical as it was not easy to get the shampoo, soap and especially the conditioner out when showering. Quite annoying, to be honest. Some of the tubes were half full so it also felt you were using someone else's leftover. Didn't feel very hygienic to me. Check in and check out process were simple. There's no locked storage room to leave luggage in the reception area. Also the room key is a number code you must punch in; the receptionist wrote the code as well as the room number on a hotel card. If you lose it, someone who finds it can easily go to the hotel and take all your stuff. I pointed that out to the reception and the answer was " it has never happened". Hopefully you won't be the first one!
There's a cafe on the first floor, which was convenient. reading all the excellent reviews here I was really excited about it but it turned out to be a disappointing experience. There's nothing really wrong with the hotel but it didn't live up to the great reviews.
I'd return if I didn't have a better choice.

This is a beautiful and comfortable hotel to stay in. The staff is lovely and the location is great. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Spacious room (seems like a one bedroom apartment with small kitchen converted to a hotel room), cute Bauhaus architecture, slightly shabby but still charming, good breakfast, cute back porch. Staff: some good, some so-so. Good location, near Rothschild, restaurants.
