Dragonara

Nice hotel if you are passing through, a bit outdated but facilities

As a stopover on our long trip to Salento, we chose the Hotel Dragonara in Sambuceto, a choice that proved to be particularly spot-on for those who, like us, are looking for comfort, hospitality, and a good price-quality ratio. The location is one of its strengths: the property is easily accessible from the highway and has a large parking lot, which is convenient and immediately adjacent to the hotel. An ideal solution for breaking up a long trip without unnecessary detours or complications. The atmosphere is that of a family-run establishment, where the hospitality certainly represents one of the most successful elements. The rooms are simple, without superfluous refinements, but tidy and clean, exactly what one expects from a property of this category. The restaurant service is also good, while the pool constitutes a pleasant added value to allow yourself a few moments of relaxation after many hours of driving. What is convincing, above all, is the staff: courteous, helpful, and genuinely hospitable, with a professionalism appropriate to the hotel's category and an approach that is still very attentive to human relationships. Overall, the Hotel Dragonara proves to be a concrete and well-managed property, particularly suitable as a travel stop. It does not try to be what it is not, but it offers with balance what a traveler expects: strategic location, cleanliness, essential services, dining, relaxation, and above all, good hospitality. I would suggest, perhaps, to slim down the business hotel imprint over time by paying greater attention to the impactful aesthetics of which the frills of the forgotten details are part.

Excellent stop to break up a long trip: convenient location near the highway exit, well soundproofed, very kind staff at the reception, comfortable room, suitable for spending one night. We did not take advantage of dinner, which would have been possible, but we also really appreciated the fact that there were other useful facilities nearby, such as the pharmacy. The pool was also a relief, to relax after the fatigue of the trip, even if the water was not exactly very clear. We will return next time we go down to Salento.
