Hotel Corallo

Excellent welcome. Thorough cleaning of all areas. Kind and always available staff. Well-cooked meals with fresh fish alternatives always present. Week of relaxation. Strategic location for visits to the surroundings.

I stayed with my husband at the Hotel Corallo from August 16 to 23 and I can consider myself quite satisfied. The rooms were always clean and cool with air conditioning that saved us from the infernal heat this year. The restaurant food was excellent and well-plated, and every day Daniele would stop by to ask us if the dishes were okay, if we had had any problems, if we had any special requests, and we never had to wait a long time to be served. I only found it a bit annoying to have to elbow my way through other customers to get vegetables from the buffet, because people would dive in headfirst and if you did not hurry, you would be left with nothing. The dining room staff is very polite and very kind; by the way, a heartfelt thank you to Evelyn, who is always nice and smiling. Also at the reception and in the breakfast department we always found kind staff. The beach affiliated with the hotel is just a step away, just across the street, and is quite well-kept. Fortunately, I saw little entertainment; I go to the beach to relax and I hate those intrusive and chaotic entertainers. In short, an overall positive experience.

Rooms are average, but cleanliness needs improvement. The restaurant definitely needs improvement because the portions are small and the buffet side dishes are so scarce that customers are forced to compete to get a plate; I and other people were left without a side dish more than once. Fruit is absent and the air conditioning in the dining room was not working. Luckily we did not do full board, but fortunately, the food was cooked well. The beach service is sparse with a bar that has less than the bare minimum and closes for 2 hours at lunch. The shower has no water in the evening. Breakfast is average and the guys at the bar are very friendly. For lunch, we could not rely on the beach clubs; luckily, there is a good pizzeria nearby that also has an excellent ice cream shop. In any case, however, we were reasonably comfortable because we know how to adapt.
