Hotel Au Coeur Des Neiges

Simply magnificent! I stayed in a chalet with 4 other people and a large dog. I don't think there is anything that can be improved! Wonderful, clean, and quiet place! Very, very kind staff! I will definitely return, highly recommended!

We spent three days in this place, 5 of us with a dog, chalet 8, I will be brief, 10 on everything !!!!! There isn't a flaw, we will definitely return

Stayed here for 9 nights in the second half of July and we had a very enjoyable stay. We took two units as a family of 5, (i.e. units “Punta Walker” and “Petit Brenva 202”). We booked these two as we saw many reviews on Tripadvisor to avoid units that are closer to the main road due to noise. We took Punta Walker as a family of 3 (parents + toddler), which was very spacious and our daughter could sleep in her own room. Plenty of space, and a petit kitchenette was quite handy during our stay (which includes pots, pans, crockery, stove, nespresso machine, small fridge and a dishwasher). Punta Walker also has a washing machine in the downstairs area which was very useful for our family. The photos online are reasonably accurate (I suggest you look up the Punta Walker album on Tripadvisor too). My parents were lukewarm on Petit Brenva, and in full disclosure, they actually moved out mid-stay and moved to another hotel. This was due to the ageing condition of the unit, and the very poor condition of the beds in particular. They just couldn’t sleep properly and made the decision to leave and move elsewhere. The hotel admitted that each unit was a different owner/investor and they are not all alike in how they maintain and upkeep the property. This is a real pity. The location is great, being close to the main road, and a 8-10 minute walk to Courmayeur centre. Therefore it is ideal to enjoy the surrounding areas, not worry about parking, and still enjoy walks into town for dinner, etc. There is a lovely open garden in the middle of the property between the chalets, which is really nice. From there you get a stunning view of Les Grandes Jorasses mountain range – very impressive. Even better view from the open carpark. You can see Mont Blanc peak when opening the door of the Punta Walker chalet. You can enjoy great views of Mont Blanc from Morgex nearby or from Val Ferret. Overall, we still really enjoyed our stay. We recommend Punta Walker for a small/young family. If you look at Petit Brenva, would suggest to think twice.
