Hotel Chateau Blanc

We didn't have a great time, the room was full of dust, cobwebs and spiders and the light in the room didn't even work.

Superior room very large and tastefully decorated. Very good breakfast. But the management of services is catastrophic and embarrassing. SATURDAY Driving license provided for registration at 7 pm and required until night 3 times, unnecessarily. We got it back the next morning. We enter the room: no soap in the bathroom. The owner comes to check, then sends a girl with a mignon. We must insist on getting two. There are no electrical outlets for cell phones next to the bed. We ask for two multiples, first they say they don't have any, then they can't give us more than one; it will arrive the following day. The sheet has been put without a riverine and barely covers the chest. Okay, we'll take care of it, we'll disassemble and reassemble, and we'll finally sleep. SUNDAY They clean the room, but not the bathroom. We wait about half an hour to return from the walk, for them to provide. MONDAY They mistakenly provide a duplicate of our room key to other guests, relaxing in bed we see the door open and a little girl looking out joyfully. TUESDAY Inadvertently they turn on the radiators (12 August!); we enter the room, which looks like a sauna. Then, for unknown reasons, the electricity goes out. And it also skips the whirlpool we had booked at the beginning of our stay and which, although included among the services, seems to have been out of Service for a couple of days. Maybe it still is, they haven't let us know anything. MERCOLEDI We find resting on an armchair a bottle of water, partially consumed and, of course, not ours. I mean, tragicomic. Except that you pay for a 4-star Relais and that the owner remains almost impassive in the face of these events, she really does not seem to realize how much the management, her full responsibility, is out of control and is to the detriment of its customers. Be careful, we got out almost unharmed, but we certainly won't be back.

We stayed here for a few days of skiing with friends. They were two families so had booked into the nearby Planibel resort. This is a charming quiet hotel at the edge of the town centre. The room was small but perfect for just sleeping in. The bathroom clean and the shower was large but the water was a little inconsistent in temperature. The Wi-Fi was not particularly strong in the room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a nice quiet drink by the log stove in the lobby before heading out for dinner and also a night cap on the comfy sofa by reception. Breakfast was good, decent choice of both sweet and savoury. Two types of cereals, two yogurts, cold cut meats and vegetables. Self boiled eggs and plenty of pastries. A short walk to the restaurants in the town and a 10-15 minute walk to the slopes at the other end of town at the Planibel resort. There is a very good restaurant next door which was very popular. We enjoyed the quiet simplicity of it all. Highly recommend.
