Semiramide Palace Hotel

We stayed at this hotel and the experience was overall very positive. The property is welcoming and is located in a strategic position, ideal for visiting the surrounding area: in about 15-20 minutes you can reach places like Alberobello, while Ostuni is about 50 minutes away. Breakfast, while not particularly rich or varied, was well-balanced and offered everything necessary, both for those who prefer a sweet breakfast and for those who prefer a savory one. I really appreciated the fact that there were no excesses or unnecessary waste, an aspect that I personally consider very important. The staff was always kind, helpful, and ready to assist. The only point on which I would suggest an improvement concerns the attention to cleaning and tidying up the room. Since there were three of us, we often found only two bath towels and two hand towels, having to request the third one every time. It is a small detail, but it would make a difference in making the stay even more pleasant. Overall, I recommend this hotel for its location, the friendliness of the staff, and the good value for money.

There isn't even a bottle of water in the room and the minibar is empty. I had lunch and it was a surreal experience: - the water arrived before the glasses (plastic ones) - the wine arrived halfway through the meal - the bread was not seen at all The sausages were good, but the potatoes were raw. Most of the staff consists of teenagers who tell each other what to do, openly trying to work as little as possible. There were 4-5 of them behind the counter doing nothing, while only one was serving the tables and asking them to at least take the orders. I spent 10 minutes trying to get the air conditioning to work without success. Then I called the front desk and they activated it for me. All the colleagues here with me had the same experience: who would have ever imagined that in July in Puglia with 104 degrees we could have wanted air conditioning? The ladder to get into the pool is unusable, completely deformed, with a sign and everything. We spent lunch searching the internet for the criteria for the assignment of the 4 stars because it is really difficult to accept that this hotel has them, but I can confirm that the rooms are spacious.

A facility not worthy of a 4-star rating... as someone in the industry... I advise against staying at this place, a dilapidated location abroad... we were greeted by the receptionist without even a hello... without being able to provide any information... unprepared staff... old room below average... no positive notes... not to mention the incorrect bill... the only kind and professional person was the receptionist with glasses who solved a problem with the safe... not suitable.
