My wife and I stayed at the Pietrablu Resort & Spa for a week as a base for visiting Puglia (Matera, Lecce, Bari, Polignano a Mare, Martina Franca, Alberobello etc). Overall, it was ideal for our purpose albeit it was a couple of miles outside Polignano a Mare and a little isolated for those who like to walk. The grounds of the hotel complex are well groomed/well presented, extremely clean and ideal for short walks - with direct access to the beach area. Sun beds are plentiful across the site. Our suite (on the ground floor) comprised an entry room (with sofa/tv) leading to the main bedroom with the bathroom off the corridor between the two. It was comfortable, clean and had a nice view from the balcony to the gardens/grounds and was around a 5 minute walk from reception and the bar, a little further to the restaurant. For those with cars there is a large car park just outside the main entrance to the site. Food was plentiful and very tasty but, overall, the dining experience was a little spoiled by the long table (almost school-like) format in the dining room and entrance (during our stay) to the dining room was via (what appeared to be) rear stairs access. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly during our stay. The pool area is immediately adjacent to the main bar - so very easy to get drinks.

The second experience at Pietra Blu this year confirms the positive impression of the first time (2024), in fact our expectations were even exceeded. From the welcome to the beach service, from the well-kept gardens to the available equipment, everything is designed for the relaxation and well-being of the guests. Special mention to the cuisine, for quantity, variety, and high-quality products. A commendation goes to the pastry shop of Francesco and Michele, with their lovely desserts, and to the entire dining room staff. It certainly deserves a third visit!

I wanted to leave a few words for this lovely place, starting with the employees who looked after us throughout our week with kindness and always with a smile; the beautiful beach is accessed to the sea via a very convenient walkway and there are both classic sun loungers with umbrellas or otherwise the canopies which have an extra cost; we took them for two days and we had a great time. As for the food, we took half board (breakfast and dinner), a very rich breakfast with everything sweet and savory, not to mention the dinner, every evening different typical foods also from other parts of the world like tacos! The room was truly spacious, we had a great time, every day they came to make the bed and tidy up just as if I were in a hotel. Very nice spa. The location is very strategic, 10 minutes from Polignano and 18 from Monopoli, two places to visit absolutely if you are there. I highly recommend it to you.
