Artemide Bed & Breakfast

We travelled here from Brindisi (Salento) airport for a three day stay as part of our holiday in Puglia. After a 2+ hour delay waiting for the bus to Lecce we arrived in the main bus station. We taxied to the B&B and were escorted to the 3rd floor by lift. Our room was part of a three bedroom flat with a communal breakfast room with a balcony. Our flat was quite spacious with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds there was a Juliet balcony, TV, Fridge and ample storage space. Breakfast was of the continental variety with cold meats, cheese and cake. The coffee machine took a while to fathom but the coffee was good. The Lady who looked after the place was extremely nice and helpful and guided us to a nice restaurant the we used during the stay, she also arranged a taxi for us on our departure. Her English wasn’t too bad but it does help to speak a little Italian. A tip for travellers from the airport…………… the bus to Lecce is a SITA bus and can be found to the far right as you leave departures. Cost 7€ pp and takes about 40mins, Taxi 70€. Our 2+ hour delay was down to BA being 40 mins late in take-off.

Little hard to find so make sure you have good directions (look for the green awning). Elizabetha was a terrific host. Bedrooms and baths were spotless. Breakfast was very fresh and varied every morning--very nice. One room picked up a little noise from the neighbors in the morning but earplugs were the solution. Really just a nit--we enjoyed our stay very much and would go back there again in a sec. Nice location within walking distance of central Lecce.

Lovely little b&b, perfect for exploring the city. Slihhtly hard to find and on the 3rd floor, but they do have a lift. Room was large and spacious. Breakfast was good, with pastries, bread, cheese, ham and cake, plus a selection of hot drinks. Only 3 rooms so lovely and quiet!
