I strongly advise against this property. The hotel claims to be a 4-star, but the reality is different. I must premise that I booked a residence on Booking by the name of La Perla, which showed cute rooms at honestly affordable prices. I get an email from Booking saying the place is now called Summer and no longer La Perla (and I already smell something fishy here). We contact the property, which takes us to the Costa d'Ora hotel because, we eventually realize, everything starts from here, like check-in and key pickup. At the entrance we are welcomed well, with a small complimentary drink, and the "tarantella" begins. Various proposals for different rooms in various areas, one in the hotel which, however, was supposed to combine 2 couples by making them sleep in a quadruple room and the other to go into a mini-apartment put in a basement. We ask to go to the residence booked on Booking without combinations or anything else. And here the tragedy begins. It would have been better to be honest and say that the rooms are not suitable for hosting people. I will start listing the problems with great objectivity and, hoping for a change in management, given that the potential for the property is enormous:
Nightmare room: The photos on the site showed a room with a small balcony on the terrace, but upon our arrival they literally sent us to a basement. The air was unbreathable due to very strong humidity, to the point that from the first night two of us had to go sleep in our relatives' room next door, which was slightly better than ours.
Bathroom and facilities out of sync: Constant stench coming from the pipes in the bathrooms and completely random water management: for some it came out with the right pressure, for others practically in drops.
Comfort and cleanliness: Rooms cleaned in a completely summary way. The mattresses were very hard and you could clearly feel the springs on your back.
Disappointing breakfast: Fresh products almost non-existent, except for some pasticciotti that were good anyway. For the rest, only packaged supermarket products from the Balconi brand. The Nutella packs were good (thank goodness they exist)
To top it all off, the total absence of customer service: the owner, Mr. Massimo, was made aware of every single service failure, but he merely evaded any request with a polite smile, completely disregarding our complaints or suggesting we split up into various other rooms and basements I believe he owns. A property like this doesn't even deserve half the stars it boasts. A true nightmare. Take care of yourselves before booking at this hostel, oops hotel.

I do not recommend it, the owner is a cheater, he is not honest in negotiations; after we arrived at the property, he insistently proposed staying at another property he owns that was very squalid, similar to a sheepfold.

Dirty, old, dilapidated; I would dare say illegal given the condition of the building. We are talking about a real hotel of horrors; I hope they close it soon.
