Hotel Palazzo D'Erchia

Having to go to Puglia for a work trip that led me to travel between Brindisi, Bari, Monopoli, and the surrounding areas, I chose Conversano as a base for my stay. I can say without hesitation that Palazzo d’Erchia was a very pleasant discovery. It is one of those hotels that bring back the atmosphere of the past, when people traveled as a family and hospitality was made above all of attention, friendliness, and simplicity. An essential style, without useless excesses, but capable of offering all the comfort necessary to feel truly at ease. The owner proved to be extremely kind, helpful, and generous with useful advice for making the most of the stay right from the start. It is precisely this welcome that is the most beautiful memory I will take with me: from the very first moments, I felt at home. The room, although essential, was very comfortable, very clean, and characterized by a pleasant, slightly vintage style, which contributes to making the environment even more authentic and personal. The hotel is also located in a quiet and pleasant area of Conversano, from which it is possible to easily reach the historic center on foot, with numerous businesses and parking lots in the immediate vicinity. The breakfast is also excellent, as is the value for money, which is truly noteworthy. If I were to return to these parts, I would choose this property again without any hesitation, especially for the extraordinary courtesy, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the sincere hospitality with which guests are welcomed.

I really appreciated the silence of this noble structure, the colours, the original stone floors, the beautiful cement tiles on the first floor, the breakfasts in the company of Apollonia, the landlady, always ready to answer all our questions. One morning he spoke to us, for example, about how ricotta is made the ancient way. Our room on the second floor was excellent, well ventilated, with fresh sheets, spotless. All the places of greatest interest in Conversano are within a 5 minute walk. The city itself is a gem, not beset by mass tourism, let's hope it stays that way.

Excellent location in the center of Conversano, a town worth discovering. Friendly welcome but with too many personal and direct questions, rather inappropriate for a hotelier. Beds not very comfortable, breakfast embarrassing
