A beautiful surprise. Authentic hospitality and honest prices
I had a great time at the B&B Olimpo in Giurdignano from August 6th to the 9th. A quiet and authentic little town, just 10 minutes from the most beautiful beaches in Otranto: a truly strategic location.
The price is super honest, especially in a world where, unfortunately, in high season it seems like everything has to become a rip-off. Here, however, I found something that is worth even more than the price: true hospitality.
The owner, his wife, and his daughter are exceptional people, with a grace, kindness, and helpfulness that are truly rare. Their welcome made me feel right at home immediately.
One thing, in particular, struck me. It had never happened to me before, and I am a person who travels a lot, that the owner of a property would tell me to pay at the end of the stay, at check-out. He wanted to trust his guest first. I appreciated this gesture of trust and esteem so much that I insisted on paying immediately at check-in myself. A small gesture that, however, says a lot about the people who manage this property.
The room was beautiful, very fragrant, very clean, and equipped with all the comforts I had requested. I also found the idea of giving each room the name of a god from Greek mythology to be very nice. In my case, I stayed in the HERMES room. A truly original idea, which makes the name of the entire property even more fitting: OLYMPUS.
The entire B&B is taken care of down to the smallest details and conveys the same brightness as its owners.
The breakfast was also excellent and abundant.
Thank you truly for the welcome, the kindness, and the trust. On a trip, finding a beautiful place is important, but finding beautiful people is even more so.
Highly recommended.
