DoubleTree by Hilton Acaya Golf Resort

Arriving here to spend a few carefree days with the goal of relaxing and rejuvenating, we found a fairy-tale place, super welcoming and helpful reception girls, excellent quality food, and cleanliness at the highest levels; breakfast is truly amazing, there is everything from sweet to savory, the pool girls are very nice and super PROFESSIONAL. It's a pity we didn't do the SPA, but we will definitely return, THANK YOU ACAYA.

I have stayed at this resort many times, both when it was a DoubleTree by Hilton and after the change of ownership by MIRA. Because I know this property so well, I can honestly say that this is the lowest standard I have ever experienced here. The resort itself is still beautiful. The rooms have been recently renovated, the interiors are well maintained, and the reception and housekeeping staff are always friendly, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, these are the only truly positive aspects of the experience. The food is now the resort’s biggest weakness. Breakfast, which once showcased local Salento specialties, has been reduced to a less than a mediocre continental breakfast. Fried eggs are served cold and burnt, while the scrambled eggs are so overcooked that they are barely edible. Dinner at the restaurant was equally disappointing. The dishes lacked creativity, care, and flavor, giving the impression of a kitchen that simply assembles ingredients rather than creating genuine cuisine. Much of the fish tasted as though it had been previously frozen, with none of the freshness you would expect from a resort close to the coast in Puglia. Overall, the food is mediocre and falls far below the standard expected of such a resort. The poolside restaurant is no better, offering poor-quality food at prices that are completely unjustified. The cleanliness and maintenance of the outdoor areas have also declined significantly. I saw the same sandwich wrappers left on the stairways for several consecutive days, which says a great deal about the level of attention given to the common areas. The spa is clean but clearly showing its age and would benefit from a complete refurbishment. Several showers also need repair. What makes this so disappointing is that this resort has enormous potential and remains one of the most beautiful properties in the area. In my opinion, the problem is not the hotel itself but its management. I believe the ownership should replace both the General Manager and the Executive Chef, as the current leadership is simply not delivering the standard that this property deserves. Only with new leadership will Acaya Golf have the opportunity to regain the excellence it once represented. Until then, unfortunately, we will not be returning.

On 06/28/26, we were with friends for the first time at this facility to enjoy some relaxation and therefore take advantage of a SPA WITH MASSAGE, and I want to emphasize that it is a beautiful and well-maintained structure.... The only sore point was Mrs. Anna, the person in charge of the SPA, who, I regret to say, ruined every single moment of relaxation by creating agitation because with her horrible manners, she came directly to me judging that I had moved a gentleman's clothing from one locker to another, without knowing that all the keys open all the lockers, and therefore the client had surely made a mistake with the locker, and despite knowing the problem, she insinuated such an accusation to come out clean!! But I want to emphasize that I must mention the rest of the staff, who were excellent, particularly the girl with the curly auburn hair, whose name I do not remember, who managed to make me leave relaxed and smiling after that useless and horrible discussion... I highly recommend this facility and even just the SPA, but I would suggest moderating Mrs. Anna's manners and perhaps being more smiling and less arrogant in such a structure that deserves professional people!
