Grand Hotel Rosa Marina

We spent almost the whole summer in Ostuni a Mare, in Rosa Marina, with our little girl, and after so much time I think I can say that we really got to know this place. At the end of the vacation, we didn't just have the feeling of leaving a resort: we had the feeling of leaving home. Traveling with a small child, it was essential for us to find a place that would allow us to experience the vacation with serenity and without having to constantly organize every movement around her needs. Ostuni a Mare proved to be perfect. The sea is very close, the spaces are surrounded by greenery, and the property is extremely convenient even with a stroller. The shuttle train service to reach the beach was very convenient for us, and the staff who drives it was always very kind, helpful, and patient. At the beach and at the pool, we found a fantastic welcome. But what struck us most was the helpfulness of the people. Even when I was alone with the baby, it happened several times that someone from the staff would spontaneously notice that I needed a hand and step in without me having to ask. These are attentions that might seem small, but when you are on vacation with a small child, they make a huge difference. We found the same attention at the restaurant and at breakfast. We ate very well and, after a few days, the staff already knew our habits and those of the baby, often arriving to anticipate our requests. We truly felt looked after and pampered, without ever having the feeling of being “a family with too many needs.” Our daughter started her weaning right here, and every one of our requests was met with helpfulness and naturalness. This allowed us to experience this moment with much more serenity as well. And perhaps that is the most beautiful thing: here we were able to truly relax. Our daughter could experience her vacation, explore, play, and be in the open air, while we could finally enjoy the sea and time together without being constantly worried about how to manage daily life. After almost an entire summer, we became attached to the people, the little routines, the beach, the sea, and this place. It has become part of our best memories. For us, Ostuni a Mare represents exactly what a family vacation should be: a place where children are truly welcome and where parents can also feel welcomed, helped, and, above all, relax. Unwelcoming for Families My family and I checked in on August 28th 2026 for a stay, and while the bartenders were pleasant and friendly, our overall experience was severely ruined by the resort's unwelcoming atmosphere toward families. We stayed with our three young children (all under 10), and from the moment we arrived at the pool, we felt like we were under constant surveillance. The pool staff and lifeguards repeatedly harassed my kids and me for basic pool play complaining about minor splashing or talking too loudly. Even after switching between pools, we were constantly made to feel like we were at the mercy of other guests who wanted absolute silence. A major underlying issue is that the resort plays no music at all, creating an eerie, dead quiet where every normal child’s laugh or splash sounds amplified. Because there weren't many other families staying at the hotel, ours stood out, and we were effectively penalized for it. Rather than stepping in to manage expectations or create a hospitable environment, staff made us feel like total outcasts for simply enjoying a family vacation. The food was just average, and while the bar staff did their best, it does not make up for the atrocious customer service and poor management overall. If you are traveling with children, save yourself the frustration. I would never in my life recommend Ostuni a Mare to families.

Ostuni a Mare stands out not only for the beauty of the property and its setting, but above all for its excellent organization and the quality of its hospitality. A special mention to Andrea at the reception, always professional, attentive, and helpful, and to Angelo, impeccable in the shuttle service with little trains and electric cars between the resort, beach, and restaurant: truly uncommon courtesy and helpfulness. Thanks also to Director Pace, for his presence, attention, and great availability toward the guests. Efficient services, well-kept environments, excellent organization, and, above all, a staff capable of truly making a difference. A property that fully deserves its 5 stars.
