Hyencos Hotel Calos

Very kind staff, good cleaning, average room, a note on the bathroom, the shower is too small and in poor maintenance condition.

Hotel right on the harbor and the beginning of the promenade, equipped with a fenced parking lot and a small but very pleasant pool. The private beach club is a short 10-minute walk along the beach or reachable by car. Spectacular reception service; a professional yet almost friendly relationship is created. Impeccable cleanliness, decent breakfast with espresso drinks and not from a machine. Sea view from the room is a strong point, with a comfortable mattress. The only lack is window screens, but I saw few mosquitoes in 7 days. Pleasant pool area, but it could use a refresh. I highly recommend it because we spent a beautiful week; even though meals are not provided apart from breakfast, the sea is enchanting.

I was on holiday in Puglia in July with some friends and after visiting some wonderful places on the Adriatic coast, we stopped for a week in Torre San Giovanni, a small but beautiful reality in southern Salento and here, we rented occasionally, twice, two umbrellas at the Hyencos Beach beach. Small structure, but well organized with a very nice and kind youth staff..I'm sorry to say, but in my opinion, the only flaw is one of the employees, who from the first moment showed a grumpy and annoyed attitude, as if serving customers was a burden. Not to mention the terms used , I would say unsuited to the context. In a place where Welcoming and courtesy are expected, I found exactly the opposite. It’s really a shame, because the place has potential, but behavior like that drives customers away and ruins the experience. This little note nothing takes away from the sea, wonderful, and the rest of the people known. We will definitely return.
