Vittoria Hotel Resort & Spa

4 stars? Definitely not up to expectations A truly negative experience. From a 4-star hotel, I expected a completely different level of cleanliness, attention, and service. During our stay, we found spiders, cobwebs, and mold, an absolutely unacceptable situation in a property that presents itself as a 4-star hotel. Furthermore, the bathroom had problems with the shower: the water ended up on the floor and left it completely wet. We stayed for 3 nights and the sheets were never changed. A service that I consider decidedly insufficient, especially for a property of this category. Even more disappointing was the handling of a simple request for our 20-month-old daughter: we asked for a very simple plain pasta, but it was not prepared for us. Is it possible that a 4-star hotel cannot meet such a basic request for such a small child? Cleanliness, maintenance, and customer attention were far below the standards I would expect from a 4-star hotel. As far as I am concerned, the relationship between the declared category and the service actually received was decidedly disappointing. I would not return and I do not feel like recommending this property.

A larger hotel property very well situated close to the center of Otranto. We stayed on level 1 where there was no view from balcony, but higher floors may have had a view. Our room window was a glass sliding door out to a common floor balcony . Mini washing lines and plastic chairs available on this balcony. Room was very large and bathroom also a good size . This is a hotel which is somewhat showing its age and is in need of maintenance, for instance the carpet to hallways is old and stained, bathroom shower head not functioning properly, some light fittings not working. Bed very large and reasonably comfortable, pillows lumpy and not great . Cleaning of shower not ideal, mouldy grout joins. No tea and coffee facilities in room… mini fridge with small selection of drinks available for purchase. Huge wardrobe in room with lots of storage. Good sound insulation and generally very quiet. Air conditioning worked well, but only adjustable by management. WiFi connectivity good. Pool area is a totally separate building behind the hotel- only accessible from rooms by passing through the main foyer, out the rear of building then up a wide set of stairs. Pool bar/kitchen closes in afternoons for several hours even with a busy pool full of guests. No water available. Breakfast was the only meal we had at this property- it had a good range of food with a large emphasis on pastries and baked goods . Two automatic coffee machines, one of which wasn’t working ( run out of coffee) by 9am . Kitchen and restaurant staff were cheerful and efficient. Front desk staff managing, but seemed to have no time or impetus to be overly attentive… large queue of guests at checkout with only one staff member, no one came to assist. In short, I would consider this the equivalent of a three star hotel at best - may well suit a short, economical stay in Otranto .

A simply wonderful stay at the Vittoria Resort in Otranto! ❤️ A beautiful property, elegant and cared for in every single detail, capable of conveying a feeling of relaxation and well-being from the very first moment. The environments are truly splendid, very clean and maintained with a care that is noticeable everywhere. But the real strong point is undoubtedly the staff: kind, helpful, professional and always smiling. We felt welcomed and pampered throughout our stay, with a level of customer attention that is not at all taken for granted today. The cuisine was also a very pleasant surprise: excellent dishes, quality ingredients, great variety and a care in preparation and presentation that makes every meal a true pleasure. Ultimately, a property that manages to perfectly combine beauty, comfort, quality and above all hospitality. It is rare to find a place where every aspect truly contributes to making the vacation special. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at the Vittoria Resort for giving us a fantastic stay. Highly recommended and, above all, definitely a place to return to! ❤️
