Gattarella Family Resort

Fantastic, we will definitely return..one of the most relaxing vacations we have had..and with three little girls that is saying a lot..exceptional location on the bay, sea always calm and clean, sober and perfect entertainment even for us adults ...10 out of 10

Reading their website, I thought I was going to paradise; I never would have imagined having the worst vacation of my life in 40 years: dilapidated facility, zero services, zero children's entertainment, very high prices for having nothing, not even water in the room (be careful, you risk spending €400/500 on water as happened to families I met there), sea-view suite with doors and windows from 1970, at night to get to the room it's all dark and uphill with a 10-seat shuttle every 20 minutes, to buy cigarettes you have to go to Vieste (vending machine always empty or broken), little choice at the buffet (rating 5 only for the restaurant waiters), indecent beach service, lifeguards according to them are on break from 11:30 to 14:00, sea water terrible and dirty (this is not their fault) but you see the photos and then you arrive there and it's a shock to the heart, Olympic swimming pool where the shallowest part is 2 meters (people come on vacation and not to train for the Olympics)... I would have many more things to say but it's better if I stop here... NEVER AGAIN PS: but has anyone who gives 5 stars ever left their house?

It is the third consecutive year that we return to the Gattarella with my family, and this shows how much we love the property: a resort immersed in nature, overlooking the sea and capable of offering unique views, always beautiful and well-kept. Unfortunately, as already reported by other guests, the real weak point of the experience remains the management of meals, an aspect that significantly affects both costs and general satisfaction. The prices are excessive compared to the offer: paying 13 dollars for a simple hamburger at the bar or 20 dollars for the kids' menu (moreover with very few daily variations) is not acceptable. Also regarding dinner, the \"L'Orcio\" restaurant offers very little variety, and compared to past years I noticed a slight decrease in the quality and prestige of the dishes also at the \"Belvedere\" restaurant (first courses and dessert). Despite this flaw in the catering, I want to send a very dear greeting to all the staff and, in particular, to Daniele, Federico and Edoardo: thanks to their extraordinary availability and friendliness, our vacation was wonderful again this year! Bye Gattarella see you next year, with the hope that something changes for lunch.
