Pianetamaratea Club Residence

A village that deserves to regain its place among the most beautiful in Italy for its location and the services available to guests on the high side of Maratea, near the Christ the Redeemer statue and the town center. I purchased 3 weeks of timeshare this year without ever having been a guest, but I remembered Maratea and I don't regret it after spending a long weekend at the beginning of September, probably one of the best times of the year. Despite the heat, I slept well without air conditioning; it is true that the village is 40 years old, you need a car to get around, and it needs modernization, which I hope happens soon, but despite this, it has a shuttle to the beach several times a day and in the evening to the town and even to visit the Christ the Redeemer statue. The property, although not brand new, has already had the kitchen, mattresses, and TVs replaced; the apartment is very clean, it lacks a shower but has a bathtub that can be used without any problems, and decent mattresses, and everything needed for cooking with new and fragrant linens, even a kit for cleaning the apartment with a mop and new sponges plus trash bags and a bath mat, then a kit for each person with shower, face, and bidet towels. Spacious common areas with very well-maintained and comfortable pools, a small supermarket for emergencies, and a bar that was not quite up to par; however, I liked it and was happy with my purchase. I am told there is a new administrator, a prepared and helpful lawyer who is also a timeshare owner, who is working very well to ensure everything improves and that it is always a pleasant stay for the guests. One last positive note for the entertainment team, even though I couldn't enjoy it, but especially for the staff working at the property, all of whom were kind and helpful.

Beautiful vacation spent at the residence Pianeta Maratea, with the collaboration of a magical entertainment team, I highly recommend it.

The property is nice and the view is truly beautiful. The free shuttle service to reach the small beaches, the historic center of Maratea, and the Christ the Redeemer statue is also very convenient. Unfortunately, however, we encountered several problems. Already upon arrival, the road to reach the residence is very steep, full of curves, and poorly marked. When we arrived at the gate, we were told by the reception that they did not have the keys to open it, while shortly after we met some employees of the residence who had them. The welcome was also not the best, in particular from a lady with short white hair and glasses, whom we found unhelpful and rather presumptuous (she gave very nervous answers to the customers). During the night, moreover, some kids were constantly disturbing, knocking and kicking the doors, breaking bottles, and throwing stones at the cars. The village music stayed on until late at night, which was certainly not very pleasant, especially for the elderly. We were told that there is a guard 24 hours a day, but, considering what happened during the night, we did not perceive their presence. The cleanliness of the rooms also needs to be improved and it would be appropriate to provide more information to guests about services and safety. Overall, the property and the location are beautiful, but there are several organizational and safety aspects that should definitely be improved.
