Santa Venere Hotel

Divine place, lovely staff, superb garden

There is no need to review the beauty of Santa Venere, nor the very high quality of its services: there are places that, after 70 years, speak for themselves and do not need reviews. But it is always worth highlighting something even more precious: empathy, grace and that extraordinary ability to make every guest feel welcomed, listened to and pampered. Due to our misunderstanding in the dates of the booking — we made a mistake, confusing the date of the event — the Management could have simply noted the error, proceeded with the refund and closed the matter there. You don't. He welcomed us with a rare kindness, finding us in just ten minutes a magnificent table at the restaurant and then allowing us to spend the whole day in their wonderful park, between pool, sea and continuous attention. Because, in the end, it's the gesture. IT'S THE CURE. It is that sensitivity that, despite our mistake, allows you to leave with the most beautiful memory you could leave of a place. And perhaps this is the true elegance: the one that does not need to be ostentatious, because you perceive it. 9 You can feel it in Alexandra, when she naturally tells you: *“Don’t worry, we’ll sort it out. We'll take care of it now.”* It is perceived in Luigi, who remembers every detail, every taste, every need of guests, even after years. You can even feel it in the drivers, who while with their machines accompany you through the park, tell you the story of Maratea with passion. These are the details that make the difference. Those who turn a stay into a memory. Those that make a guest feel not simply welcomed, but really considered. Then thank you, Holy Venus. Because beauty can be admired, luxury can be told, quality can be described. But you can feel the cure. And you don't forget that.❤️ P.S. Having an aperitif in front of the Moon, with Venus shining next to it, on the dark rocks of the coast of Maratea... it’s just magical.

A most beautiful hotel in a very special setting. We loved everything, particularly the kind and helpful staff.
