Palazzo Viceconte Dimora Storica

We stayed two nights in June in a Junior Suite. The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. Parking on site is very convenient, albeit an experience to drive through the old town. The directions provided by the hotel were great. We wished that the WiFi in our room and safe, both listed as amenities, worked. The rooftop bar was closed during our stay but the views on the Sassi from there are fantastic.

We spent a we in Matera guests doi Palazzo Viceconte. The location is strategic, the view from the terrace breathtaking, the breakfast great and the staff very courteous. The decor on the first floor and the walk to the breakfast room are outstanding. I suggest, however, to improve the reception by inserting in the rooms the possibility of preparing a coffee or herbal tea; the lamps of the bedside tables do not allow you to read in bed because they are not very illuminating and the impossibility to regulate the temperature in the room creates discomfort.

Fabulous location, in the stones at 40 but from the Duomo. Beautiful building with large rooms that looks like a museum. The staff was friendly and helpful. Private indoor parking. Spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. Great quality of sleep! Unfortunately the breakfast is understated, almost all pre-frozen desserts and lack of salty products of the territory, for the structure and for the price the breakfast is clearly below expectations. Anyway super recommended hotel.
