PARK HOTEL POTENZA

The hotel is essentially a business hotel far from everything but convenient for parking, clean, and with that old-fashioned style that can be appealing (also because it is well-maintained). Good breakfast. The real flaw is the air conditioning. Potenza is no longer the cool city it was 20 years ago. In July, it is hot. You cannot have centralized air conditioning and turn it off during the night or in the morning. However, if you ask at the reception, they keep it on in the room (though it’s not a favor!).

One night stay for business. It is absolutely not a 4 star. The hotel is average. A business hotel. It is neat and clean but aseptic. Large rooms, bathroom without window and no radiators. Bathtub instead of shower (mine was a triple room for single use). The TV resting on the desk. Very uncomfortable to look at in bed, too low. Carpet, no air conditioner. Comfortable bed but with 80s brown blanket instead of duvet. I had dinner at the restaurant. Dinner not height of a 4 star. I would never dine in this hotel again. The glass of wine at the table, a Nebbiolo, in Potenza... mah. I would have expected Aglianico or Primitivo. Very small lobby, even the restaurant is not warm and welcoming. Anyway all very clean. Price not adequate to the environments and services offered.

One of the best facilities I have stayed in, in all respects: for cleanliness, for friendliness, for breakfast.
