Trevi Village

We stayed with my family from July 19 to 26. Two connecting rooms with two bathrooms, excellent for us since we have an 8-year-old granddaughter. Spacious and clean rooms. We had a room facing the sea with a small garden, very convenient. Beach umbrellas should be assigned by room; unfortunately, it is only reported to keep the umbrellas free for the beachfront houses, leading to unpleasant situations and no possibility of always having the same spot. The parking lot is inconvenient and it is impossible for two cars to pass each other in opposite directions. The buffet has generous portions and I liked some things a lot, such as the paella, the burritos, and the cannoli; however, the first courses should be covered better for hygienic reasons and the food should be kept warm. Overall, we liked it a lot! The facility is just the right size, the staff is always kind and helpful, starting from the booking. The animation team was fantastic: professional and discreet, friendly and not pushy. Onofrio, Lorenzo, Gennaro, Nicholas, Orlando, Connie, Claudia, Ileana, and Sofia, I hope I haven't forgotten anyone! My 8-year-old niece had a great time and even played the lead in a show. Unexpected gem: two comedy shows at the village that were truly funny 😄

We spent a wonderful vacation at this 4-star resort right on the sea in Amantea and we can only recommend it, especially to families with small children. The location is its strong point: being right on the sea is a priceless convenience, especially for those who, like us, travel with a small child. Furthermore, the baby bottle service was truly excellent, an added value that allowed us to experience the vacation in total serenity. The cuisine is excellent, with a buffet that is always rich and a variety of dishes that changes continuously. The only small suggestion for the chef is to reduce the presence of pork on the menu a little, so as to offer even more alternatives. A special thanks goes to all the staff, who were always kind, helpful, and smiling. A special mention to the manager, who was always present, attentive, and ready to satisfy every guest's need with great professionalism. The entertainment team is made up of well-trained, polite, and engaging young people. The program for the last week of June was probably also designed for a clientele with a larger presence of older guests, but this never detracted from the staff's commitment and friendliness. Finally, a note of merit for the cleanliness of the rooms: truly impeccable. Everything was perfectly in order every day, and we really appreciated the little touches reserved for our baby's crib as well, gestures that make you feel truly welcomed. A vacation we will remember with pleasure and that we recommend without hesitation to those looking for relaxation, excellent cuisine, excellent services, and the convenience of a resort right on the sea.

This year I decided to change location for our vacations (we usually go to Tropea or Sicily), choosing Le Mandrelle both for its location on the sea and for the majority of positive reviews... but this is my experience: As soon as we arrived at the resort, we had problems with parking; you can park along the entrance road, which is also the only road to exit, and it becomes truly problematic if you meet another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. But I will start with the positive side of the resort: it has a strategic location that overlooks the sea directly, and the rooms are some on the sea and others on the property's garden, which is very well-kept. Pool by the sea, kind and helpful staff, but that is not enough to justify the negative aspects.. Trains pass just a few meters from the village and there are many during the day, even if only for a few seconds... they are annoying! As for the accommodations, the rooms communicate with each other through a door that remains closed in the event that they are occupied by different families; honestly, I have been to many villages, but I have never seen this communicating door anywhere, zero privacy, you could hear the neighbors talking even in a low voice, and at night you could hear them snoring! The room, very small, was not found clean by us; some suitcases placed on the floor got dirty, same for the bathroom, which gave off a strong smell of sewage! 2 long black worms found in the bathroom were justified by the fact that we are with the garden in front of the door, but we found them as soon as we arrived, so little care in cleaning, but after my complaints I then found the room cleaner and the bad smell coming from the bathroom diminished. There is a mini-fridge in the room, but it is as if it were not there! Another sore point is the restaurant: everything is truly poor, besides the quality, the quantity is also poor and very repetitive! Very poor buffet breakfast: packaged cookies put in containers, inedible tarts, containers full of yogurt, not single-serving, which I think were going in and out of the fridge every day! Luckily there were croissants!! But given the quality, I think they were thawed! So breakfast absolutely needs to be re-evaluated! Lunch and dinner were always buffet: they rotated almost always the same dishes: pasta overcooked and cold, as well as not protected from the people who were waiting in line and talking over them, not only those who served them but also the people in line! Side dishes and appetizers were always the same, and presented in a different way the next day and the day after that.. Among the main courses, every now and then there was something good, except for the fish cutlets, which were also thawed and inedible. Fruit was the only choice; I asked for some plums served the day before, and I was told that one must eat only the fruit being served! Meaning either only peaches or only watermelon or only plums or only apples. After a few days, I decided to leave the property before the end of the vacation! The animation team was great! But the music was very loud at the pool and very loud at the beach; since they are very close, there was only confusion. I complained about the situation, explaining all the reasons why I had decided to leave early; they were helpful, responding that they will try to improve the restaurant as much as possible.... Anyway, I left! I do not recommend it and I will not return.
