Santa Caterina Village

It is difficult to be concise and describe the experience at the village for those who do not possess the gift of synthesis like me; however, I hope to be brief and as objective as possible. As a premise, I would like to offer some thanks; first of all, I want to thank the entertainment team; in this specific case, those guys who saved what could be saved with us: Salvatore, Giovanni, Matteo, Francesco, Sean, Stephanie, Erica, and Anna, who did their best in a truly terrible context. A thank you must go to Domenico and Simona (waiters) who carefully took care of food intolerances inside the restaurant dining room, but also to Mohamed, a friendly and professional waiter. Finally, one last round of applause goes to the restaurant, as the products were truly excellent and cooked very well. But let's move on to the sad part, unfortunately. Unfortunately, I was reading a review on Google that I would like to make my own, but which I will not include due to its length. What can I say, the management, for reasons unknown, aims to have a nursing home rather than a holiday village, because believe me, the average age of 60% of the guests was over seventy with significant discomforts and difficulties. For heaven's sake, everyone deserves to go on vacation, but when this affects others, then the situation is not positive. You could see elderly people checking their blood sugar in the middle of the beach, in front of the restaurant, or even worse, washing their hands in the restaurant's beverage dispensers... The condition of the rooms was truly pitiful (as seen in the photos), rooms truly from the prehistoric era, old, cramped, doors that don't lock, no Wi-Fi, broken shutters, etc., etc., etc... In the restaurant, as pleasant as it was to eat, the temperature was extremely high because there was not a trace of air conditioning, or at least not enough to cool the environment. As for the entertainment, I agree with what other guests of the facility have written: the guys were very good, friendly, and cheerful, but really poorly organized. Unfortunately, given the age of those present, there was very little that could be done; I realize that it is immensely difficult for them to provide entertainment under these conditions. To make matters worse, unfortunately, it was an environment that I did not see as very serene, everyone was a bit rushed and very tied to the times imposed by the management or the fear of being reprimanded by the village manager, to whom I would recommend less ostentation (see the start of the shows). Finally, even on the beach, between booked, reserved, and paid umbrellas, there was very little left. We end this vacation with the pleasure of having met good guys and good people, but unfortunately with the awareness of not returning or not reliving the week spent at Villa Caterina.

We are a diverse group of 34 people and in this resort each of us found suitable spaces. Excellent welcome for availability and kindness. Quality cuisine, varied and abundant to satisfy every taste. Staff attentive to the customer in every role and manifestation. Entertainment better aimed at children and certainly to be improved for an adult audience. Basic rooms, a bit old, but well-maintained in maximum hygiene. To be improved: the condition of the rooms, the use of air conditioning in the dining room,, furthermore, ensure the presence of a wifi area and the organization of the beach service.
