I went to the Infinity Resort because an acquaintance of mine had already been there and had spoken quite well of it. Unfortunately, after trying it personally, I must say that I was deeply disappointed by the numerous shortcomings which, in my opinion, are not compatible with what one would expect from a 4-star resort, especially considering that for 2 people I paid about €2,000 for 5 nights in August, half-board.
The property certainly has great potential, especially due to its location, but in my opinion, it is largely unexpressed. The general feeling is that everything has remained stuck at least ten years in the past and that there is a lack of that care, that maintenance, and that attention to the guest that one would expect from a facility that boasts of being a 4-star hotel.
I will start with the cleanliness and comfort of the room, which was one of the biggest disappointments. We found ants both on the bedroom floor and on the tables where we ate in the evening. The sheets were never changed during the entire stay and the floors seemed at most swept, not washed. The headboard of the bed, covered in fabric, also had a very unpleasant white stain, enough to make us wonder if and when it had actually been cleaned last.
Another very significant problem was the intense humidity in the room. The feeling was that of being perpetually damp: clothes, towels, and even the sheets remained damp. A truly unpleasant condition.
We also had unpleasant experiences with the staff. Of the two receptionists we dealt with, only one behaved in a polite and professional manner; the other, however, was disagreeable and absolutely unwelcoming. In general, we did not have that feeling of attention and hospitality that one would expect in a facility of this type.
The restaurant is another sore point. Starting with the dining room staff, whom we found to have an attitude that ranged from confused to rude. Some remarks by the maître d', a man in his sixties, seemed out of place, heavy-handed, and retrograde to us.
The menu also disappointed us: it is limited and is always exactly the same, without any changes. Furthermore, some of the dishes I personally tried I did not like at all, both for the flavor and for what I perceived as a lack of freshness in some ingredients, particularly the fish, which in some cases even made me suspect it might have been frozen.
There is also an issue that I consider particularly serious: the management of allergies and intolerances. Not all allergens are correctly labeled on the menu and, above all, at breakfast, there is absolutely nothing written anywhere about what the various dishes available at the buffet are. Those with allergies or intolerances must therefore pay extreme attention: I strongly advise notifying and re-notifying the staff multiple times about your dietary needs, because at dinner you cannot trust what is listed on the menu, and at breakfast, there are no written indications to refer to at all. At breakfast, in particular, the lack of information leads to having to give up many foods out of caution and perhaps simply choosing fruit, just to avoid taking risks. I believe that on such an important aspect in 2026, there should be much more attention and clarity.
Let's move on to the situation of the sea. If you want to use the resort's small cove, prepare yourself for a long hike along a steep, dirt path. But the real problem is that swimming, at least in my experience, is practically an extreme sport. To get into the water and come back, you have to pass over pieces of wood balanced on large rocks and, once you arrive, you have to pay close attention to both the rocks and the undertow, which tends to push you toward the cliffs.
During the only swim I took there, I sustained several small cuts and abrasions. That same evening, I went to the front desk to ask about the partner beach.
However, the partner beach, which must be booked in advance, also had some issues. It is located about a 10-minute drive away, and there is no hotel shuttle to reach it. The thing that struck me negatively is that no one bothered to inform us spontaneously about the existence of the partner beach: I only knew about it thanks to my acquaintance who had already been to the resort. Furthermore, on several occasions, the staff seemed almost annoyed when we asked them to make a reservation for us.
I also find it in poor taste that, three times in a row, the umbrellas reserved for us were in the last or second-to-last row, in a corner. Considering that we paid about $400 a night, I would have expected to feel at least a little bit considered as a guest.
Instead, the feeling was almost the opposite: as if they were doing us a favor by giving us the worst spots on the beach, while the most desirable rows were reserved for outside customers. A management style that gave us more the impression of being oriented toward "cashing in" than toward valuing and pampering the resort's guests.
Furthermore, from what I understood, if you don't book quickly enough, there could also be a risk that the free slots will run out and that you will therefore have to pay to be able to go to the beach. On this aspect, I can only report my impression, but I believe that a service of this type should be explained much more clearly to guests at the time of check-in.
Ultimately, I am sorry to say it because the resort would really have all the characteristics to offer a very beautiful experience: the location is evocative and the potential is there. What is missing, however, is a true attention to detail and, above all, to the guest.
What left me bitter was not a single episode, but the sum of many shortcomings.
I expected a completely different level of service and experience.
Instead, unfortunately, this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, the desire to return home as soon as possible and not to repeat the stay.
