Hotel Residence Solemare

A beautiful and large resort on a wonderful sea! We had a really great time!! The staff is easygoing and friendly, good food and fun for everyone, children and seniors. We will return!!

We just returned after spending 10 days at the Solemare. Fantastic location...by walking a few meters on flat ground (something not to be underestimated if, like us, you have small children) you find yourself on the beach. Our room (a quadruple) it is true, was not very big, but for what was needed I would say it was more than fine! The bathroom, and especially the shower, were of good size. We did not find the accommodation obsolete at all. The pool is large and clean, even if with that wonderful sea there, it is a shame not to go to the beach. The staff is always kind and helpful. The food is always very good and with different choices. We also booked two excursions through the reception (departing from Tropea) and we did not have to worry about anything since they came to pick us up directly at the property. A special thanks to Michele, who in addition to preparing excellent cocktails, recommended a truly excellent restaurant for an evening out. We had a really great time!

It is possible to alternate days at the beach with moments of relaxation by the pool, which represents another of the interesting features of the property. The presence of a seawater pool, with areas also dedicated to children and spaces for relaxation, makes the stay pleasant for both couples and families. Also very appreciable is the possibility of choosing between a hotel formula and a residence formula, a particularly convenient solution for those who desire greater autonomy. The accommodations are designed for different needs, from couples to larger families, and feature outdoor spaces such as a veranda or balcony, in addition to the main comforts. For those who love an active vacation, there is no shortage of leisure opportunities: tennis, five-a-side soccer, ping pong, daytime and evening entertainment, and activities for children. It is therefore a property that manages to bring together two apparently different needs: on one hand, the desire to completely unplug, and on the other, the possibility of always having something to do. The part dedicated to dining and services is also designed to make the stay more comfortable: a restaurant, bar, pizzeria, market, and other services allow you to have practically everything available without having to constantly leave the property. The true value of the Solemare, however, in my opinion, is the atmosphere. It is that type of place where the rhythm of the day changes: you wake up, have breakfast, go down toward the sea, spend a few hours on the beach, relax in the pool, and then the most beautiful moment arrives, that of the sunset. And at Capo Vaticano, the sunset over the Tyrrhenian Sea is something that is hard to forget. It is a property that I find particularly suitable for those looking for a complete beach vacation, especially families and people who love having a beach, pool, dining, and activities directly within the resort. Naturally, as with any tourist facility, the experience can vary based on the accommodation, the time of year, and personal expectations. Online reviews are in fact quite mixed: while the location is generally considered a strong point, some recent reviews point out aspects that could be improved regarding rooms, cleanliness, and service. That said, the location on the sea, the natural setting, the huge spaces, the pool, the beach, and the possibility of experiencing a vacation without having to constantly move around are features that give the property particular value. In conclusion: the Solemare is one of those properties that you choose above all to experience the sea and the beauty of Capo Vaticano. If you are looking for a vacation made of sun, crystal-clear sea, spectacular sunsets, nature, a pool, and many services close at hand, it is a place that can provide truly beautiful memories. One thing is certain: when the sun sets over the sea of Capo Vaticano, in front of the Solemare, it is hard not to stop for a few minutes to watch and think that it was worth it.
