I have been going to Hotel Scoglio del Leone for 12 years, and for me it is an essential appointment of the year...It regenerates me! The place is magnificent and waking up with Stromboli looking at you is incomparable..The staff is very kind, helpful and prepared and we feel pampered every time we go there..From the welcome, the bar etc. you cannot ask for more! You eat very well, there is a lot of variety at breakfast (the apricot tart is super), lunch and dinner with a wide range of choices and the dining room Maitre d' is always ready for every request and the waiters are also ready and fast. When I walk down the path that leads me to the beach, I think every time \"here I am in my favorite place\". The beach club is well organized, even if we go towards the free beach but for a personal choice, not because of crowding..We always go in September, when there is no longer any entertainment, so I am sorry not to be able to write anything in this regard. But this year there was a musical group from Milan that brightened up the evenings. The most surprising thing is the sunsets, seeing the sun go down into the sea little by little is a great emotion. I recommend it from the heart..once you have been there you fall in love with it...

The hotel is quietly located on a hillside, about a 45-minute drive from the airport. Room and bathroom are simple, but adequately equipped. Pool towels cost €4 per day. The absolute highlight is the beach: one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, very clean and with crystal-clear water. Starting from the third row, free lounge chairs and umbrellas are available to hotel guests. The very well-maintained beach restaurant is explicitly recommended. Unfortunately, the hotel itself lacks atmosphere. Meals are eaten exclusively indoors in a dining hall that is too small, very loud, and has tables placed close together. The main course and dessert are served, the rest comes from the buffet; the quality is average. The bar was not staffed, and except for at the pool, there is no possibility to have a drink outside in the evening. The pool entertainment is loud at times, but only lasts about half an hour. A supermarket is reachable on foot in about 600 meters. Conclusion: A conditional recommendation because of the outstanding beach, but the ambiance is missing for an all-around consistent hotel stay.

We spent a couple of nights in this hotel and we really apreciated the staff kindness, the spotless room and generally the cleaning in this hotel. The sea view is very nice. We were there for a wedding but we take into consideration returning for a sunmer vacation. Well done!
