Masseria La Morella

A truly exceptional stay, from the property to the cuisine. Simply wonderful experience. The Masseria is a perfectly preserved 18th-century historic property, cared for in every detail: it has the charm and elegance of a high-level relais, while maintaining an authentic, relaxing, and familiar atmosphere. The rooms are spotless, the services impeccable, the garden is magnificently maintained, and the pool is truly splendid. The entire property conveys great attention to detail and a feeling of tranquility that makes it hard to want to leave! And in fact, our only mistake was just that: the first evening we decided to dine out. From the following evening on, we tried the Masseria's cuisine and we didn't move again. A special round of applause goes to Resident Chef Mario, who made us eat divinely. We were expecting good farmhouse-style cooking, but instead we found a decidedly superior offering: refined dishes, technique, taste, and balance, with great attention to the raw ingredients and to highlighting the farm's products. Many of the vegetables used in the kitchen come directly from the Masseria's own production, and this philosophy is reflected in the dishes: authentic flavors of the region interpreted with modern technique, without losing their identity. Another surprising aspect is the price. For those staying at the property, dinner is available for $25 per person: considering the quality of the raw ingredients and the level of the cuisine, the price-quality ratio is truly exceptional. Outside the property, it would be practically impossible to find an offering of this level at a similar price. Compliments, therefore, to the entire staff and a special thanks to Chef Mario, who with his cooking made our stay even more special. A beautiful, elegant, and authentic Masseria, where hospitality, the region, and haute cuisine coexist perfectly. We will definitely return, and next time we won't make the mistake of going out to dinner the first night!

Location that we knew from participating in communions and weddings in the past. We thought we'd wait for the new year here. Eve, dinner on the night of December 31. Beautiful structure, impeccably cleaned and decorated in a very elegant way. Perfect musical entertainment. Excellent wine selection. Food inedible to say the least. Nothing edible for real. Unthinkable disappointment. Appetizer salad of octopus and shrimp only thing I managed to eat. First I don't know how to call them A kind of lasagna with pumpkin truffle. Second first a glue that is called pasta with lobster and cream potatoes, my God seemed vomited of an animal, livid in color and flavor better leave it alone. The second one is a piece of meat with some potatoes and vegetables. Meat and fish GIA. Not meat and not fish. A hallucinatory mixture devoid of respect for the true Italian culture and cuisine that is the jewel in the crown in the world. 130 euros per person. It's not so much for a New Year's Eve if something really had been edible. We were 7 after dinner all disappointed. Too bad because if it wasn't for the food it would have been almost perfect. I don't think we'll be back. Unless we're forced into a marriage or baptismal engagement of some relative or friend.

An unforgettable day... we could not choose a more suitable location for our wedding. Emilia, in addition to professionalism and availability, was indispensable in taking care of all the details in detail. Great food, great Service, still today after time we receive compliments for choosing a lovely place.
