Hotel Pompei

Finally found a nice economical hotel near my client in Angri. It’s late in the season so the nice pool was drained. There is a modest breakfast buffet offered in the morning, and a gentleman will take your coffee order. Rooms are clean, have a great view, beds are comfortable. One of the nicest features is you actually have plenty of room to park.

Stayed four nights b & b at this great family run hotel, in room 1 which is situated at the side of the hotel with no view as advertised, but a good size with plenty of storage, small fridge, tv showing Italian programs only, air con and small enclosed outdoor sitting area.. beware of bitey insects here! Lovely clean white bed linen provided. unfortunately didn’t find mattress comfortable and woke most mornings with backache. Bathroom/shower facilities were adequate with plenty of hot water and sets of fresh white towels also provided. Bed and bathroom facilities attended to daily by room service. Fresh breakfast buffet set out with plenty of cold food choices, cereals, drinks and pastries. Lovely quiet pool area to relax by with loungers and tables, bar with reasonably priced drinks and a fridge full of magnum ice lollies!! Facilities are also open for local people to pay and use. All staff very accommodating and helpful, giving information regarding places to visit and transport. WiFi connection stable during our stay.. big local supermarket across the main road, bars and restaurants at reasonable walking distances. Our only criticisms are rip off taxi drivers in Pompeii who don’t use their meters and found streets generally grimy with piles of rubbish and food waste left stacked on pavements. Otherwise a good experience!

We have booked the hotel because it had an outdoor swimming pool that is open from 09.00 hrs untill 19.00 hrs and the location is somewhere in the middle of all the places to visit. After a day of visiting around of Capri, Naples, Vesuvius, Pompei, Sorrento or the Amalfi coast you come back in the hotel and enjoy the swimming pool as a relaxation moment. We had a big room with double bed, airconditioning and balcony with view over the swimming pool. The bathroom was with a shower and had all necessary soap or shower gel. The advantage of this hotel is that in the evening there is a possibility to have different dishes at very reasonable prices. They have starters and main dishes and they are changing nearly every day. So, no need anymore to leave the hotel. An other advantage of this hotel is that the daughter Elena is a professional guide for all the places and she will be happy to give you information needed and she can guide you to one of those places if you want. Reserve early enough your guided tour with here as a lot of guests are interested in her experience. You will also see that all personal are very friendly and helpfull and you can also park your car inside the parking area of the hotel behind the iron front door which is closed for the night.
