Relais Pian Delle Starze

2 months have passed since I spent a nice vacation at the Relais Pian delle Starze with two friends. I always had in mind to comment on my stay but, alas, with the return to the hectic everyday life, the refrain was always... tonight I'll write... and then... and then Now that the summer season is coming to an end, I can no longer put it off. What can I say? Beautiful, well-maintained, and well-kept property in a fabulous location. Elegant and spacious rooms. Abundant, tasty, and varied breakfast in the morning. Dinner with various options, with menus tied to the local area, excellent and unique. But the highlight was the staff: the invisible ones who ensured the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms in the facility and in the gardens, the chefs and all the kitchen staff, Giovanni who welcomed us with kindness, shuttled us to the various beaches with a shuttle service available at all hours and with useful suggestions for our movements; Antonio, a nice, perfect, and impeccable dining room manager, a master of finishing touches, for example in serving us fruit cut with artistry, Angelo from Licusati, cheerful, nice, ironic local storyteller, generous with directions and curiosities, an intelligent entertainer whom we hope to meet again in his Turin or thereabouts. We stayed at this property for 4 nights in September. The relais is certainly well-maintained and clean, both in the outdoor and indoor spaces. It features a nice pool, which we did not try, however. The sea-view room had an antique style and was functional nonetheless. The view of the port of Marina di Camerota is spectacular. The cuisine is not bad, and the staff is very kind and well-trained. I would object to the lack of prices on the daily menu. Simple breakfast, both sweet and savory; I would say there was the right selection. The relais also offers shuttle services and agreements with some beaches. Close to all the most beautiful places, the beaches of Pozzallo and Cala Bianca, which are located below the relais road and reachable with relatively strenuous hikes, are breathtaking. The Calanca beach, not far away, is also very beautiful. The port is a 5-minute drive away; the road is uphill, quite steep, but I believe this is a strong point given the relais's complete immersion in nature, far from the chaos. I would recommend this property to everyone, although I feel I must make two small notes (in order to improve the service offered): the first concerns the excessively uncomfortable mattress (something other visitors have also noted), the second a misunderstanding with our suitcases, which were taken to another room on the day of arrival; the matter was resolved in about 15 minutes.

We are returning from 4 days in Cilento and we stayed 3 nights at the Relais delle Starze! Excellent experience regarding the hospitality, spotlessly clean facility, and good food! Top-notch, relaxing pool under beautiful trees and plants with Mediterranean scents! If I had to recommend something: changing the mattress, which was not comfortable at all; you would sink into it! It would be needed to complete the relaxation with which one experiences the facility! It would improve the comfort of the cherry room!
