Hotel La Margherita - Villa Giuseppina

As always, the Villa Giuseppina restaurant is the best, thanks always to the availability of the owner Ester, thanks to Antonio, Paolo, and Diamante for the service provided, truly skilled and kind. Finally, compliments to the entire kitchen brigade from the first to the last, excellent and tasty dishes. Keep it up 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

The first impression was terrible! If we hadn't paid in advance, we would have left. Unfortunately, you cannot just invent yourself as a hotelier...the property is obsolete and old...a typical 70s hotel! Our room was located outside the main building, and to access it, you had to pass through a kind of terrace (shared with some apartments) that, at the time of our arrival, was occupied by a party complete with a pizza oven, music with an electronic keyboard, and kids jumping all over the place. Rooms with keys (no key cards), detached sun-blocking curtains (we notified the front desk and the lady's response at the sight of three broken plastic hooks was "and what can I do about it?")..hard mattress and 10-inch television connected to an obsolete antenna! Bathroom with "one" counted roll of toilet paper, 2 minimal little bottles of shower gel, and bars of soap wrapped like they were 40 years ago! Pool present....but out of 3 days closed from 4:30 PM for EVENTS...as if we hadn't had it! Mediocre breakfast. Poor quality products. Mortadella and salami as cold cuts, packaged bread, and cakes of terrible quality. Presence of many cats in all the shared spaces of the hotel...if you are allergic it is not the place to go...with the consequent smell of everything related to them...! To finish, the last night was spent without power and therefore without air conditioning...dying from the heat! I want to applaud the Roman lady at breakfast and the worker from Novara for their cordiality, and make a note to the young girl who, from her attitude, seemed to me certainly linked to the ownership; a smile, availability, and humility can sometimes even work miracles@ The only positive note was the parking! We will not be returning!
