Le Axidie

The hotel is right on the beach. The ferry to Capri and the Amalfi Coast departs right next to the hotel. Rather remote. No shopping within walking distance. Only a few restaurants. The ladies at the reception are very friendly. Sun loungers at the beach and pool are included for guests free of charge. Breakfast is available from 8 a.m. - although the bread always arrived later ...

The property and sea were perfect, the room was also welcoming, but the cleanliness was terrible and the service poor; finally, the dining service was terrible with a rude and unprepared waiter.

We spent three days at Le Axidie in Vico Equense, treating ourselves to a break from everyday life and dedicating ourselves to relaxation and well-being. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, which left us with a positive memory and which we wish to recount with sincerity, but also with particular gratitude toward the people who contributed to making it special. A truly special thought goes to Simona, Spa Manager, a professional of great value, competent, prepared, welcoming, and extraordinarily helpful. She is a person who knows how to listen, understand the guest's needs, and, above all, always find a solution with great discretion and naturalness. Her ability to be present, decisive, and attentive, without ever losing her kindness and smile, is something we particularly appreciated. Simona is not simply a very good professional at her job: she is a person who transmits humanity, warmth, and authentic attention. And it is precisely these qualities, together with her competence, that make the difference and leave a beautiful memory in those who are welcomed. An equally sincere thank you goes to Maria Rosaria, a very good, competent, and professional massage therapist. Her way of working, delicate yet confident, attentive and respectful, gave me moments of authentic well-being and deep relaxation. Also through her work, I perceived that care and professionalism that one expects when choosing to entrust oneself to a wellness center. Simona and Maria Rosaria were the true added value of our experience. To them goes our most sincere thanks, because they contributed significantly to transforming three simple days of our stay into an experience that we will remember with pleasure and affection. Precisely because we greatly appreciated the setting and the people who work there, we believe it is right to also share some aspects that, in our opinion, could be improved. We do so with a constructive spirit and with the hope that they can be considered as useful suggestions to further enhance a facility that certainly has great potential. The wellness center needs more attention to maintenance and details. In a wellness center, in fact, it is precisely the small details that contribute to the feeling of well-being, order, and care that the guest expects. We also noticed a rather reduced staff presence and, on one of the days, the lifeguard was also missing. Considering the presence of pools, hydromassage, waterfall, and water paths, we believe that this is an aspect to which it would be appropriate to pay particular attention, both for the service and, above all, for the safety of the guests. Some functional aspects of the wellness circuit also deserve to be reviewed. Inside the wellness center there is neither a bathroom nor a shower; to use the services, it is necessary to leave the wellness center and reach those for all guests of the facility. It is a solution that can be somewhat inconvenient, especially when one wishes to experience the circuit without interruptions. Furthermore, at the entrance to the areas dedicated to the Kneipp circuit, the waterfall pools, and the hydromassage, the pool intended for washing feet before accessing the areas was not working. This is also a detail that, while it may seem minor, in a facility dedicated to wellness contributes to the quality and completeness of the experience. These are all observations that we feel it is our duty to point out precisely because we believe that, with more maintenance, a more adequate presence of staff, and even more careful attention to detail, the wellness center could reach an even higher level and be fully worthy of the beauty of the place and the expectations of the guests. Beyond these considerations, however, what remains above all is the pleasure of having experienced three days of authentic relaxation, in a suggestive context and with people who knew how to take care of us with professionalism and kindness. When choosing a facility, the environments are important, but often it is the people who truly make the difference. And in our case, Simona and Maria Rosaria represented exactly this: professionalism, availability, competence, and, above all, humanity. We therefore hope that the aspects we have highlighted can be improved, because it would truly be a shame not to fully value such a beautiful reality and, above all, such valuable people. Thanks to Simona and Maria Rosaria for making our experience at the Axidie even more pleasant and for helping to give us three days that we will remember with sincere pleasure. A positive experience, with some aspects to perfect, but above all with the good fortune of having met two professionals who know how to do their job with competence, passion, and heart. ❤️
