Honestly, I do not understand why this hotel is highly criticized. Sure, it has some flaws that could be fixed, but let's be clear, it is a hotel managed by human beings, and on some things I can even turn a blind eye. As for my stay, I did not have a bad time at all; on the contrary, I had a good time and they helped me with many aspects. At the beginning, when we checked in, we were given all the useful information for staying at the hotel; it was explained and emphasized that the shuttle must be booked in advance for trips and that it was not possible to use it at will suddenly (a very fair thing, given that they have a database where they activate the booking and the driver with the shuttle comes to pick you up at the time the reception gives you). For those who complain that the shuttles only run until 7 PM (if I remember correctly), there is the EAV bus service; in short, you adapt and travel based on the possibilities and the available schedules. As for the structure, I have nothing to complain about; it is a nice place, quite well-kept, with furniture that recalls the past years a bit, but it was still well-maintained, tidy, and clean. There are 4 pools in total, two outdoor and two indoor; the large outdoor one seemed very clean and clear to me; I did not use the hydromassage, so I will not comment on it. The two indoor pools are very beautiful, always clean and clear, one warmer and the other a bit cooler. As for the room, we had a standard one, a small balcony that bordered others, and in front we had other rooms (which makes privacy a bit complicated), but I solved the problem by pulling the shutter halfway down and closing the curtains when I needed to. The bathroom was small; the only flaw was that the shower door did not open completely and hit the toilet, but in short, nothing so dramatic. Furthermore, I found the room clean and impeccable. The furniture was a bit dated, but not all that worn out either. Only once did it happen that after returning from an excursion I did not find the large towels for the shower; I solved it by communicating it to the reception and they resolved it immediately by giving me an entire set of towels. Furthermore, I took advantage of the half-board, so I only had breakfast and dinner. With the addition of a small problem of lactose intolerance (a real problem for the kitchen, honestly). Starting with breakfast: very composed, there were things I did not like (but I think it is more of a personal taste), there was both sweet (croissants, muffins, plumcake, cakes, tarts of various flavors, various cereals, Nutella, honey, and jam). Savory: with hard-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, various types of bread, which you could also toast, then cold cuts like salami, cheese, and cooked ham. (I surely forgot other things, but it is to give you an idea). There was also table service to request coffee and milk. *Small tip, for cereals and various creams it would be more optimal to have dispensers.* For dinner: I have attached some photos, and the dishes, as far as I am concerned, were abundant, and they were very, very attentive in recommending lactose-free dishes in my case. The waiters were kind and willing, and I had no problems. In short, all in all it was a very pleasant 5-night experience, and I also took advantage of the Medmar package for the round-trip ferry with the Arenaria Viaggi shuttle that picked us up from the port to go to the hotel and vice versa on Saturday morning. So I also had one less thing to worry about regarding the ferry booking and arrival at the hotel. The only final issue is that when you use the EAV bus, there are no adequate platforms on the road.. but this is not a problem related to the hotel but to the bus transport company, at least they exist and they work.

Being an old building, it has many flaws. The rooms are quite inhospitable: entrance door without a 1/2 latch, external shutters not working, dilapidated shower enclosure. Turkish bath and attached toilet not working. No evening entertainment Limited connections to the city center Pool water is not thermal and the outdoor one is at room temperature.

The property is very well-maintained in the common areas. The room needs maintenance, as does the bathroom (especially the shower). The location is not very central, but the bus stop is nearby. The outdoor pool is very nice, a little less so the jacuzzi, which does not work well. The breakfast is excellent.
