Parco delle Agavi

A beautiful place, very kind and helpful staff, cleanliness of the rooms never seen in any hotel, the dinner was very good, but above all a dining room manager who is very attentive to everything, but above all a very kind person. I will definitely return, in fact I recommend it to everyone.

We recently returned from a family trip to Italy. We stayed in six different four-star hotels in six different cities and our stay at the Hotel Parco delle Agavi was our only disappointment. Compared to our other hotels, it was nowhere near a 4-star experience, and we paid almost double for the Hotel Parco delle Agavi compared to the other hotels we stayed in. Our stay started on a positive note, as our room was ready upon arrival. Unfortunately, that was the final positive note. The room itself was disappointing from the start. It appeared to be located in what felt like an overflow area, tucked beside office space and the luggage storage building, with no room number on the door. Unlike most other guest rooms, which seemed to have dedicated outdoor spaces, ours was essentially connected to the parking lot, resulting in constant noise from vehicle and hotel traffic. Although the room was advertised as recently renovated, it felt worn and neglected, with a broken cabinet door covering the refrigerator and several unrepaired holes in the drywall. Basic amenities were also lacking, with body wash provided in place of shampoo and no conditioner or lotion available. Housekeeping further compounded the issue when our towels were removed during cleaning and not replaced, forcing an unexpected run to the lobby to request fresh ones while our son was in the shower. Even the bed was unusually short, with our feet hanging off the edge despite neither of us being particularly tall. The pool area was equally frustrating due to a combination of poor service and inconsistent rule enforcement. Guests were seemingly required to purchase shower caps to use the pool, yet many others ignored the policy without consequence while we were told it was mandatory. For a 4-star hotel at this price point, one would think that a mandatory shower cap for the pool would be complementary. Pool towels were not provided, leaving guests to figure out how to dry off on their own. Attempting to order drinks from the bar adjacent to the pool (pool bar) turned into an unpleasant experience when I was asked to leave because I was not "completely dry," despite other pool guests utilizing the same area. The hotel also served beverages in glass bottles but prohibited bringing them near the pool, a reasonable rule in theory that was undermined by numerous unattended glasses and bottles littering the poolside for extended periods. Other services throughout the property suffered from similar operational issues. The hotel's shuttle policy only allows reservations on the day of travel, which creates unnecessary stress for guests relying on transportation to catch a ferry with luggage. Even after securing a reservation, the shuttle arrived roughly 20 minutes later than scheduled, nearly causing us to miss our ferry altogether. To make matters worse, another passenger (who was picked up prior to the hotel?) had a dog that barked continuously throughout the ride to the ferry. Breakfast was no better, with nearly half of the offerings unavailable and many remaining items picked over long before we arrived. Overall, the experience was marked by poor maintenance, inconsistent service, confusing policy enforcement, and a lack of attention to very basic guest comfort. Very little about the stay reflected the quality or hospitality one would expect from a hotel at this level and price point. I strongly recommend considering other hotel options.

Room 118. We returned once again for a week at this splendid hotel. Courtesy, helpfulness, and professionalism are the main characteristics of the reception girls, the shuttle drivers, and the entire waitstaff, excellently managed by the maitre d' Paolo. Thank you.
