Bristol Hotel

​Photos and Rooms: Deceptive or 10-year-old photos. The property is not entirely as shown in the photos. The rooms are super cramped: we booked a standard, but it seemed more like an economy, different from the photos on Booking. We were told it was a standard, but a question arises for me: if where we were was a standard and two people couldn't pass in front of the bed because the room was practically the size of just fitting a bed, what must the economy room be like? ​Cleanliness and Common Areas: Poorly maintained and exterior cleaning needs to be reviewed. Perhaps the rooms are the only thing that is cleaner, but the rest of the facility — starting from the pools and the spa area — cleaning is 0, with dirt everywhere in the hotel hallways. ​Pools and SPA: Lifeguard absent for the pools. Thermal pool side with sun loungers full of weeds and dirty, dilapidated cushions. It passes itself off as a SPA but it is not a SPA, with a hot tub that doesn't work at all and a dirty shower. ​Towel Service Failure: Towel change not performed even though it says every 2 days. We arrived Friday and Sunday evening we returned to take a shower (since the next day we had check-out to leave the island by ferry early), but nothing. The night before, they asked for my room number, telling me that they would bring me clean towels at 8:30 on the morning of check-out. Well, no one came to the room. Since I couldn't take a shower the night before with the damp towel, I had to go back down to get them myself... also because you can't call them since there is no phone in the room (where it said "phone" under amenities on Booking). And it didn't end there: after having to go down again, at the reception they asked me to go look for the cleaning staff. I went looking for them myself and finally got the famous clean shower towels, waiting even longer for them to go get them. ​Room and Bathroom Amenities: On Booking they say there is a bidet but it is non-existent: you will find a hand shower to wash yourself directly in the toilet, connected to the sink which also leaks. Minibar absent (even though it says on Booking that there isn't one, looking through the answers to questions asked on Booking they had replied that the rooms had a fridge), but one expects it from a hotel, especially in this heat. Wi-Fi that doesn't work, especially in the rooms where it also says Wi-Fi on Booking. ​Breakfast: Breakfast with packaged products, tables with old placemats, and a dirty coffee machine. ​What we liked: ​The only positive notes, besides the cleanliness of the rooms, are the free parking for scooters and the shuttle that takes you if you have a car. I am sorry to write a review like this, but after having paid so much for the high season period, I remain disappointed by a 3-star property with great potential that lets me down like this; I will not return, I am sorry.

Unfortunately, my stay at this property was completely disappointing. The main problems concerned cleanliness and service, two fundamental aspects that should be guaranteed in any hotel. The room was dirty upon our arrival. Dust everywhere, unwashed floors, and the bathroom left in truly poor hygienic conditions. Courtesy does not seem to be a priority here. The staff at the reception and during the stay were curt, unprofessional, and clearly annoyed by any request or report. One thing I will never forget is the day after my arrival when the shower head fell on me, causing scratches on my body and a hard blow to my head. That same day I let it go and headed to the beach, and upon my return I found the bathroom floor dirty and urine in the toilet. My aunt had her underwear stolen; it had been washed and hung out on the communal terrace, and upon her return it had disappeared. The only thing we cannot complain about is the food service; the chef is impeccable, and breakfast is equipped for celiacs—no one doubts this. I stayed with 2 children and I find it absurd that my nephews had to wash with freezing water. Anyone who says this hotel is worth staying at and even reviews it with excellent reviews is mistaken.

Very important!!! The hotel I am reviewing is in Lacco Ameno and has nothing to do with the one of the same name in Ischia Porto!!!!! We were their guests for 3 nights with a group of friends...we had a divine time ❤️❤️ Welcome 10 out of 10 Friendliness top-notch Family-run hotel, with typical "island" rooms that are clean and air-conditioned...I had a quadruple room with a bunk bed for my girls and a small balcony!!! Clean and well-maintained pool surrounded by greenery...Roman bath not used because it was too hot🥵🥵 Spa area needs to be reviewed but it didn't matter much!!! Shuttle available for Lacco Ameno and Casamicciola really useful especially considering the hotel's hillside location! We also used the restaurant for lunch...simple and tasty cuisine!!! Furthermore, last but not least, their maximum attention for my CELIAC daughter, having everything ready for her for breakfast and having improvised a GLUTEN FREE lunch for her without batting an eye!!! I would return very gladly 🤩🤩🤩
