This is a beautiful modernised hotel in lovely grounds but it is outside the village. There is no food of any kind other than a light breakfast & the staff didn't seem particularly interested in finding a restaurant for us. One evening we EVENTUALLY found a restaurant 5km away but without the hotel's help.

This was a great find, but that was also its problem as it is very difficult to find. In the village of Cutligliano in the central square there is a large notice pointing in the direction of the hotel and 200 yards on the left is a nearly hidden entrance with a small sign and even when you enter the gates you are still thinking this cannot be it as it looks unused. If you persevere you find a large three storey house with an attractive entrance at the back of the hotel. Inside all has been beautifully decorated. We took the bargain offer of one of the attic rooms which was excellent value. A large room with very large comfortable double bed, television, but no kettle. As it was in the attic (there is a lift) it only had a very small window, so no views but a good bathroom and well decorated. The whole room and bathroom were immaculately clean and the carpet looked brand new. There are many larger and more luxurious rooms, but obviously they are more expensive. Breakfast was included in the bargain price of €45 (so cheap for Italy) and it was continental of a high standard with excellent coffee. The charming new owners only took over in July and are obviously just starting to get everything up to scratch but this is already of a 4 star hotel standard.
