Hotel La Badia

This hotel has beautiful views of the Bay of Naples. It has very clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast is good. The rooms are small but everything works well.

Having stayed with an organised group seven years ago, it was lovely to return for a relaxing few days. The owners and staff were all very pleasant and helpful and made you feel very welcome. There is a 15 minute walk down the hill to Sorrento. A buffet breakfast is provided on a terrace with amazing views over the Bay of Naples, As dinner is not provided reception has an arrangement with a few local restaurants and will organise booking and a shuttle service to and from the restaurant on request.

Hotel La Badia is a complete gem! Away from the main town, on the hills, with spectacular views, both from the outdoor terrace and from our lovely room (we were in the large, comfortable suite, which has amazing views of Vesuvius and Sorrento). A quiet, peaceful haven of calm after busy trips to always crowded Pompeii, Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello (the last especially lovely). The family run hotel was very efficient, and very clean and welcoming. The walk to Sorrento was not a problem for us (despite the very hot weather - I'm 72 but quite fit), but may be a problem for some? What really made our stay special, however, was the incredible warmth and friendliness of Maria, Marisa and the staff. They could not have been more friendly or kind (if you are going to Capri, as you must, talk to Maria!). A lovely stay at a small, peaceful and lovely hotel. Thank you, Maria!
