Asia at the front desk is amazing! She is helpful and truly dedicated. She genuinely cares about the well-being of the guests. The hotel is magnificent. The view is incredible and the private beach is super nice. The rooms are comfortable, especially suite number 8 in its private corner with its spa terrace. Get ready to get in shape with the stairs leading from the road to the hotel—it is a small challenge. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choices, served outside with a breathtaking view.

0/5 Stars – Terrible Experience, AVOID at All Costs! We booked a 3-night stay at Villa Santa Maria in Amalfi and it turned into an absolute nightmare. Our train was delayed (common in Italy), so we arrived later than planned. Instead of showing any flexibility or understanding, the staff were extremely rigid about their policies and refused us a late check-in. After a long, exhausting travel day in the summer heat, they literally left us on the side of the road with our luggage. No help finding alternatives, no compassion — just "sorry, policy." They even told us not to come back for the remaining two nights we had already paid for in full. They kept our money with no refund whatsoever. We had to scramble to find another hotel last minute, ending up paying double the price just to have somewhere to stay. The stress and extra cost completely ruined our trip. This place has zero customer service. They took our money and provided nothing in return. Do not book with Villa Santa Maria — look elsewhere if you want reliability and basic human decency. Terrible experience from start to finish.

This hotel was wonderful! The rooms were clean and we found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The views are breathtaking! Breakfast is free and served on the patio overlooking the ocean. Breakfast is served starting at 8am, on our check out day we needed to leave the hotel at 7:30 and the manager offered to have yogurt, bananas, etc ready for us as we would miss breakfast. They do not have a pool but they have a hot tub. There is no beach to speak of but they have an area right by the water where you can lounge and get in the ocean. The hotel does serve dinner for a fee but we did not eat dinner there during our stay. This is not a place to stay if you have mobility issues as there are about 160 steps to get from the street to the hotel, to get to the ocean is another 300 steps. There also is no on sight parking although they have people that will meet you, get you to the hotel then go park your car. You have to message them when you need your car back, the young men that do this are super friendly and accommodating. The parking costs 40 euros per night in cash. I feel that this is probably the case at all the hotels in the area as parking lots are not abundant as I saw no hotels that had them. If you want a vehicle while there the scooters and moped type vehicles seem to be the way to go because parking is also hard to find in most places.
