B&B Il Giardino Segreto

-- I stayed at the B&B Il Giardino Segreto in Anna and I was very satisfied. The hostess, Anna, is very kind, friendly and helpful, welcomed us with such a warm Welcoming. The garden is lovely, a true corner of tranquility and nature in the heart of Naples, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a moment of peace. The location is convenient, well connected to the main attractions of the city. I highly recommend this b & b to those looking for a pleasant stay in a cozy and surrounded by greenery

My friend booked this b&b for our 5 day stay in October based on a recommendation of a friend who had stayed there years ago. Sadly, the place has declined significantly since then. There are lots of dusty frilly dresses hanging all over the place, which give the place the instant impression of dirt. The furniture is dated, and the mattresses really need to be renewed. The kitchen needs to be redone and it needs a dishwasher. The plates and crockery were disgusting. What we used we washed thoroughly and “disinfected” with boiling water before use. The breakfast part of b&b wasn’t really a breakfast. We bought our own yogurt and fruit. On the back of each bedroom door it said that the rooms are cleaned daily. It then transpired that this hasn’t been happening in years. Sadly there were no materials that we could use to sanitise the space. My friend took the enormous room with the bathroom down the corridor and round the corner. It overlooks the street, and the traffic noise was terrible. I had the smaller room with the ensuite bathroom that overlooked the internal courtyard. I think that overall, she drew the short straw. The garden is pretty, but the furniture is filthy and some of it is broken. The best thing about it was that it was really secure. It was also convenient for local restaurants, a pasticceria and cafés. Its sad because it could be so gorgeous, but the owner has really let it go. I will not be recommending this place to anybody

We stayed in Il Giardino Segreto from 28.5.2022 for ten days when we arrived nobody was waiting for us even though we had arranged a particular arriving time. After waiting and waiting We rung the door bells and then Anna opened and showed us the apartment downstairs, we booked the upstairs flat with garden view. Anna said it has nothing to do with her anymore everything is done and booked via booking.com The room was dark only two small windows and it was damp horrible smell the shower was flooded over, the WC smelled and the floor was continuously wet after the third day we asked when the cleaner would arrive, Anna said the only clean in the end. So we asked her kindly to wash the towels and bedsheet I provided the washing powder, I gave her Euro 10 for the quick wash, we hung the washing up in the garden. Unfortunately we stayed for ten days. We also asked her what time we can have breakfast, Anna said there is no breakfast but we booked it via Booking.com We complaint how disappointed we were. I must say the garden is very beautiful and Anna spends a lot of time there, but I think if you have an Airbnb business it is very important to look after people as well, they are bringing in the money. Anna also mentioned this ground cellar flat she can't rent out in the winter because of the dampness and smell, so we were the first people to stay in this damp flat, because our booked flat with garden few was already taken. We complained by booking.com we booked in via German, never heard anything back. We are really disappointed with the whole situation. The apartment's upstairs are really ok but downstairs in the cellar that's an absolutely no go!
