What a treasure this hotel is! Initially I thought I was too far out of the town but turns out I was just really bad a directions and I was just down the road from EVERYTHING! Beautifully quaint and I think I possibly had an older room that looked out over the front of the hotel but it was still fantastic for what I needed. Bed was comfy and shower pressure good (hot water hit and miss but to be honest it was so hot when I stayed I welcomed a cold shower) FINALLY… the hotel reception staff were amazing. My Italian was, at best, poor when I arrived but they were so helpful and accommodating, as a solo, female traveller they set me at ease. Thank you Hotel Diana for such a wonderful stay in Italy.

Just to clarify, this review is of room 210 which is over the garden in an annexe. We cannot comment on other rooms in the other part of the building. We were so pleasantly surprised and pleased with our room given the 3 star rating - we had booked this hotel last minute as part of a package. I am not sure if we were upgraded but we weren't expecting such a huge balcony/terrace. This was shared with the neighbouring room which was unoccupied until our last night, but it had a row of tall plants separating us. I will summarize my review as follows: Good: The room and bathroom were modern and spotlessly clean - one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. Fantastic location for the ruins, stations and restaurants. Comfortable bed Very efficient Aircon which we were very thankful for given the heatwave Small fridge in the room which was stocked with complimentary water every day Rooms were cleaned every day and supplies replenished Great shower with overhead rain shower and also lower handheld attachment Not so good: Although included in our room rate, breakfast was generally disappointing. It was continental which is fine, but there were also french fries and small sliced sausage on a covered hotplate which were cold every day. They ran out of butter one day, there was no coffee for 20 minutes on our last day when we arrived at breakfast opening time, and the sliced bread ready for toasting was not covered and therefore dried out quickly. We found the best things to have were the bread rolls, cheese, meats and cold boiled eggs. There was plenty to satisfy a sweet tooth though (which we don't have!) Either the sound proofing could have been better, or our new neighbours on our last night were particularly noisy. Would I return? Absolutely!! But I would make sure to ask for a room in the same building. Hope this is helpful!

I had a delightful stay at this hotel. It is in an excellent location: both a short walk from the train station and to the Pompeii Ruins site. I had a very nice room. There is a nice large back garden seating area for relaxing with a drink from their bar.
