Hotel Ideal

I stayed two nights for €132 for one person, a price that seemed quite good to me considering the location. The best thing about the hotel is precisely its location. It is not in the heart of the historic center, but it is located right next to the main station in Naples, which is very practical both for getting around the city and for visiting the surrounding areas. Furthermore, you can perfectly well reach the historic center on foot. From here it is very easy to travel to places like Pompeii and there is also a good connection to the airport. In my case, furthermore, I arrived quite late, practically at midnight, due to a flight delay, so I really appreciated that there was always someone at the front desk to be able to check in without any problem. The room is adequate and works perfectly for a short stay. I missed having a bit more closet space and the bed could be a bit bigger, but otherwise it is well-equipped and has air conditioning. The cleanliness was adequate. Breakfast is served in a spacious area. The variety is rather scarce, but it serves its purpose for starting the day. The woman who was in charge of breakfast during my stay was also very kind and attentive. The hotel does not have an elevator, although they warn you about it beforehand. Since it is on the second floor, it does not pose a major inconvenience unless you have mobility issues. Overall, a practical option with a very good location for visiting Naples and its surroundings. It is not a hotel to look for great luxuries, but for the price I paid it fulfilled its function perfectly and I would stay again if I returned to Naples.

You can’t beat the location of the hotel as a base to explore Naples and its surroundings. Though if you are a light sleeper you might struggle as it’s really close to a main road and next door to the train station - this didn’t bother us though. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, aircon, fridge etc, if you’re using this hotel as a space to lay your head then it’s right for you. The friendliness of the staff is 10/10. Check in was easy and despite not being able to get into our room straight away (as we arrived earlier than check in) we could leave our bags. You’re encouraged to leave your key with reception staff and when you return they know which room you’re in showing the genuine interest in their guests.

Excellent hotel for comfort, cleanliness, and service. Staff 10 points and always willing to help
