Hotel Maiuri

We stayed in a room on the third floor: clean, essential, well soundproofed and quiet, also equipped with a lovely little terrace. As a note for improvement within the room, the shower was leaking water from the joints of the handheld showerhead, which definitely needs to be replaced. Breakfast is the other aspect that could be improved, as we found it a bit repetitive during the two days of our stay. Regarding the location, the hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the center of Pompeii. It is very close to the entrance of the archaeological park on the "Amphitheater" side, but it remains very far from the main entrance of "Porta Marina Superiore" (where almost all daily tours depart). We had planned a visit with Askos Tours on the Amphitheater side, but at the last minute they changed our meeting point to Porta Marina Superiore. Luckily for us, the very kind Mr. Andrea from the hotel gave us a ride in his car that day, and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts for his great helpfulness. A note of merit for those traveling by car: the property remains a few minutes from the highway, and the internal parking is very convenient and monitored by cameras. If, on the other hand, you need to travel by the Circumvesuviana (which is very convenient), keep in mind that it takes about 40 minutes on foot. Around the hotel, we did not see any public transport, and a taxi for a ride of only 5 minutes costs 15/20 euros. Following Mr. Andrea's advice, on the last day we left the car at the Zeus Parking lot (safe, monitored, and a few minutes from the station) for 10 euros per day. We also really appreciated the possibility of leaving the car and luggage past the check-out time to make the most of our last day, a truly useful service.

A very well-kept, newly built hotel, clean with comfortable rooms and newly made amenities. The staff is very kind, and there is reserved parking for the car and video surveillance. A strong point is the location, a 10-minute walk from the Center of Pompeii, from the entrance to the archaeological site and from the train station, truly convenient. And all at a price I would say is affordable.

Excellent room, very clean, exquisite service.
