Monteoliveto Bed and Breakfast

We stayed at this hotel for a few days during a holiday in Naples. Overall the experience has been fluctuating, with several positive aspects but also some important critical issues that I think it is right to point out. I start from the positive points: the location is really great, central but at the same time quiet, and allows you to easily reach many attractions on foot. Check-in was very convenient and fast thanks to the codes provided, which made us completely autonomous. The owner was helpful from the start: he allowed us in earlier, quickly solved a problem with a room by replacing it immediately, and was responsive in messages as well. We also enjoyed the change of sheets and towels during the stay and the availability of water. The room was overall nice and functional, with modern bathroom. Unfortunately, however, there were some negative aspects that affected the experience a lot. The cleanliness was not impeccable: the sheets, while appearing washed, had some stains and did not give a feeling of total freshness. The most serious aspect, however, concerns the disappearance of my father’s wallet, left inside the suitcase in the room. We are certain that he was present on arrival and that he was never taken out. Despite the research and willingness of the owner to contact the cleaning lady and verify, the wallet has not been found. We do not make direct accusations, but it is clear that the episode has compromised our confidence. Also, on the day of departure we were told that we could leave our luggage in a room. On our return we found them instead in the corridor, without any warning. Considering what happened the day before, this management was unprofessional and unreassuring. A communication would have been enough to allow us to organize ourselves differently. In conclusion, the facility certainly has potential and some very positive aspects, but the management of security and organization leaves something to be desired. Personally, I would not recommend it with confidence.

No one came to clean for five days. No real breakfast available. We were overcharged for a large room we didn't need or asked for. Surroundings not so safe, noisy at night and construction work during the day.

Small rooms with private bathroom, clean. Breakfast is served in the room, very nice croissants (better than standard!) though I would have appreciated some napolitan pastry. The owner was very nice and kind. The location is nearby everything but not in the chaos of the most popular streets, so you can rest after a day of walking and visiting.
