Diana Pompei

I am here now for a very short stay between Naples and Sicily. Pleasantly surprised, the photos give you the idea but the reality is even better. Well-maintained hotel. The room is in the new annex, quiet with all the necessary comforts - nice bathroom with shower, all in a contemporary style. I recommend it, very close to all services but in a quiet location, with on-site parking. Welcomed with a smile and the beautiful Neapolitan warmth. Thank you

We booked this hotel back in November 2025 after we had booked tickets to see a concert in the amphitheatre. Booking via Expedia was very easy as was any communication we had with the hotel prior to our stay. The hotel is located off the Via Sacra, a busy road which has a number of bars and restaurants within a minute or two walk from the hotel. The main square, Piazza Bartolo Longo is at the top of the Via Sacra, and the archaeological site and amphitheatre, about a ten minute walk away from the hotel. We never had to walk any more than 10 minutes from the hotel for any of the restaurant options we used during our stay. These will have their own reviews if anyone's interested. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. At our time of booking, there was only a family room available, so for two guests we had a double and two single beds. The room was a very good size, had air con, a wardrobe and fridge as well as a TV. The bathroom was well appointed with a very good sized shower, that had a hose and rainfall attachments. Ideal after a warm day out and about. The room was cleaned every day at our request and was spotless when we came back after the cleaners had been in. The breakfast room was large and offered mainly continental and cold meat options as a buffet. The selection was topped up often during the breakfast hours. Coffee was ordered via the staff, or from an available pot. Can't fault the food as it was all delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book a private transfer from the airport to the hotel (via email) and the reverse via reception when we were leaving. Transfer time was 20-30 minutes depending on traffic and time of day. A local map was provided on arrival which was so helpful. The hotel is linked to the Bosco De Medici resort. Hotel Diana guests can pay a per person supplement (50 euro per day, 25 euro half day at the time we stayed) to use the swimming pool. This hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk from Hotel Diana. Hotel Diana is a very good value hotel which is very well located for the centre of Pompeii. It gave us everything we wanted for our concert and subsequent stay. If clean and comfortable is what you're after with good value, we would highly recommend this hotel. One tip, if your room is in the Diana Inn, which is closer to the Via Sacra, use ear plugs as you get a bit of road noise at night. That aside, we were more than happy with the hotel and staff.

An excellent 3-star hotel. We were in a deluxe room in the new building and everything was perfect. Comfortable, new, and spotless rooms. Very convenient on-site parking. Strategic location for visiting Pompeii and for traveling by train. Good breakfast and friendly and cordial staff. Highly recommended
