Hotel room was infested with mosquitoes. The most hellish night my family has ever had. Finally had to go to the proprietor who gave me a can of toxic pesticide I had to expose the family to in order to get some sleep. The proprietor demonstrated it by spraying in the air and sniffing to demonstrate it smelled good while diaper dog was watching (he barelyf speaks and English). The smell wasn't bad, but we no doubt suffered chomosomal and mitochondrial damage from the toxic brew.

Lovely hotel but needs updating! Lovely quiet base to come back to after visiting the sites. Staff very helpful and friendly. Basic breakfast served but great coffee. Nice room with large balcony that was great for reading

We booked this hotel for a one night stay after a late night arriving flight into Naples. Check in was smooth, the room was clean and tidy (if a little dated, but that is obvious from the pictures seen before booking) and the bed comfortable with very effective AC. We were only using the hotel for a base for a visit to the ruins and Vesuvius before leaving later in the day, but the continental breakfast was sufficient, if not amazing, for the busy day ahead Check out was easy and the extremely polite staff kept our bags safe for the day. The location is fairly central (10 minutes walk to the Scavi station and entrance to the ruins) but the walk was hot. However very few hotels are any nearer than this to the station and ruins so this is not a flaw! Overall a good experience that we would recommend for anyone not doing Pompeii in a day tour from anywhere else.
