Villa Diomede Hotel

A large group of us stayed here for 3 nights and not one of us had a bad word to say about the place. There is a great variety in the room sizes so be sure to ask when booking. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff working there were friendly and helpful. They’ll even do your washing for a small fee. The gentleman at the front desk organised for 11 of us to go by private boat to Capri for the day. It was fantastic. Not super cheap but better than going by public transport. Sure the train runs right next to it but it stops around 11ish and they’re not that frequent. I would stay here again. The entrance to the ruins is just a short walk away.

The Hotel Villa diomede is a great place to stay if you everything within a stone's throw, the room is lovely, the bed a little too hard but nice and large, bathroom is brilliant, the shower is just awesome, however, I have only given it 4 out 5 because there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, this would simply be the icing on the cake and make this stay as good as it could possibly be.

Nice small hotel with very friendly welcome. We arrived early and were able to leave bags in our room although it was not ready at that time. This was really useful as leaving luggage at the Pompei site is possible but it was really busy when we arrived and it was one less thing to organise. Hotel is very near a railway crossing so a bit noisy. We did sleep though as the trains stopped overnight. We are a family of 5 and are travelling with back packs. It was an easy walk up the hill from the Pompei Scavi station. It may be tricky if you are walking with lots of luggage though. Be mindful if you are planning on using the kitchenette As there is a 10 euro surcharge. Would recommend.
