Villa Degli Dei

Our stay at this villa on the Amalfi Coast was extremely disappointing due to misleading information and the poor condition of the property. The listing does not mention that the villa is located in a remote, hard-to-access area, requiring a 10-minute walk down a steep hill from the parking lot — a serious inconvenience, especially when managing luggage or traveling with family. To make it worse, you’re charged €10 per bag for porter service. Transport is another issue. The property provides a limited shuttle service, but it only covers one round trip per day to the city center. If you need to go more than once, you’ll have to make your own (difficult and costly) arrangements. The property itself was in poor condition: Bathrooms were dirty upon arrival. Showers were clogged, making them difficult to use. The kitchen was infested with ants. The living area was full of mosquitoes and bugs. No bottled water or basic essentials were provided. There are no nearby shops or restaurants, so you must carry water and groceries in advance. The listing states that the property has an elevator, but this is not true. In reality, two of the rooms are located on the third level, accessible only by stairs — a major issue for guests with mobility concerns. This villa is not suitable for families with children due to accessibility issues, lack of nearby facilities, and poor cleanliness. To add insult to injury, the photos on the listing are misleading and don’t reflect the actual condition or location. For the exorbitant price of $2,243 per night, this was far from a luxury experience. You could easily stay like royalty at a well-maintained property like Hotel Buca di Bacco in Positano for half the price — and with far better service, amenities, and location. The host Giulio was genuinely helpful and sympathetic to our situation, doing his best to assist wherever possible. We do not recommend this property unless the listing is priced far more reasonably and updated with honest, complete information.

5 couples enjoyed this facility in comfort and phenomenal vistas. This home is indescribably beautiful. We will be back! Clean, comfortable, beautiful, completely accessorized for total comfort. The layout gave all of us privacy but common areas to enjoy together.

I have recommended this place to serveral friends 👌🏻 It’s a apartment hotel on the top of the hill/mountain. The villa is quite old and so are the rooms, but it’s clean & charming!! And the view is AMAZING! They cooperate with a hotel down in the village that gave us transfer to the top. On the top they have a mini-supermarket (ish) - where u can by breakfast etc, lovely couple that had it. The buses goes several times a day if u want to go to the beach. Along the road u find plenty of restaurants - so just take a stroll down!
