Eliseo Park's

Hotel is very well looked after and clean but it is basic. Hard beds, shower over bath with an awful plastic curtain that sticks to you. All needs upgrading. Nice staff. Very friendly. The food is atrocious. Don’t stay half board. We were on a Newmarket Tour, so did try the dinners but mostly ate out. One night, our dessert was a bunch of grapes!

As previous reviews say, the beds are extremely firm but the rooms are kept tidy, not sure how often the sheets are changed but I had a pillow that needed changing but despite leaving it out it never got changed. Was a bit worried about having an electric towel rail above the bath but the water pressure is so weak in the shower it didn’t touch it. The food in the hotel is ok and very basic. My first evening meal was gnocchi served with ‘tomato sauce’ but it was more like tomato soup thickened with semolina. Other offerings were smoked salmon lasagna, fusilli carbonara, salt & pepper risotto and a very dried out roast chicken. There is a fabulous pizzeria just a minutes walk away. The pool was quiet in September but the sun disappears about 3-3.30pm and there’s quite a few mosquitoes around the pool so you need to apply mosquito spray more than sun cream. However, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially with unusual food allergies like mine. Probably won’t stay there again.

I have loved my stay at this hotel, the deco is traditional Italian which only adds to the charm. Staff are all very friendly , will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is stress free. The room and pool are cleaned daily . I personally found the food lovely , it’s not often I will eat at the hotel but it’s so nice we’ve ate there most nights . I would definitely recommend and will return at some point .
