Castiglione

We just returned from a 7-day vacation, we are three couples and personally I cannot say that we had a bad time. The property is in a quiet location, right on the evocative Bay of Sorgeto. Satisfactory price-quality ratio, perhaps the property could use a light renovation but it is fine as it is if we want to keep costs down. The pools are always open and both at 36°C, shuttle service to Citara beach at scheduled times, so not always available at all hours but you know, you have to respect the schedules for that service. Catering ok, simple but good. We will return to spend the next New Year's Eve also to try the experience of taking a hot bath by the sea in the Bay of Sorgeto in the middle of winter. Greetings to all the staff, especially to the Manager Mr. Nello Castiglione. See you soon. Gloria Del Santo

I am very sorry to leave such a negative review, because the property itself has good potential, with outdoor spaces that are quite well-kept, spacious, and pleasant. The main problem lies in the rooms. On the verge of basic with several problems related above all to cleanliness: the windowless bathroom with a non-functioning fan, faucets full of limescale, dirty walls, and missing pieces of plaster. The air conditioner is on the verge of decent, very dirty inside, mattresses of poor quality. The pools are also not exactly very clean. We don't fare any better with the services: daily cleaning and towel change service, too bad the towels are all stained anyway and sometimes smelly. The dining room service was worse: the breakfast buffet was sparse and lacked savory options even upon request, and the cappuccino, made with an automatic machine, was almost undrinkable. We stayed for four days with only breakfast included, and for three mornings we had to ask them to set the table; on the last morning, they remembered us. The location is also not the best if you do not have a vehicle. In short, not even a well-deserved star.

Hello, I was only there for 3 days (thank God), not chosen by me! The first day, as soon as I arrived, the shuttle comes to pick us up after half an hour on the bus, we arrive there and they give us a room. Right there, 2 steps away! We enter a small room with a bathroom, I go to close the door and the handle breaks in my hand, I go to the bathroom and the flush doesn't work, I turn on the shower and from a rusty pipe coming out of the wall the water barely touches me, all under the ceiling! I go to ask for explanations, they make me change rooms, they send me down a slope into a large room, nothing to say about that room but the view 🤦‍♂️ facing a mountain of dry and desolate trees and a cave that went into the mountain in front where you could see the line of rats going in and out! Three days truly wasted! The spa was only for children who were jumping and screaming, AND THE SERIOUS THING IS THAT THERE WAS NO LIFEGUARD OR SECURITY!
