The property is located in a beautiful but extremely isolated sea cove in Cartaromana, where, besides the sea, there is practically nothing. Beach access and breakfast are included in the cost of the stay and, without a doubt, were the only truly positive notes of our experience. The only practically viable way to reach the hotel is the taxi boat, which also becomes necessary for every evening trip, should you want to take a walk or have dinner in a place other than the property's restaurant. The service costs €14 round trip for two people.
Once you arrive at the hotel beach, you have to face a full 89 steps (I counted them), to which another 17 are added inside the building in the event that, as happened to us, the room is on the first floor. The hotel, in fact, has no elevator. I would also like to point out that some sections, although short, are particularly slippery, as they are characterized by a slope and the constant presence of sand. These sections, moreover, lack a railing or handrail to hold onto, increasing the risk of slipping and falling.
If you are in good health, you must therefore take into account having to face this situation at least twice a day, every day. For those with mobility difficulties or physical disabilities, however, I believe that the property is effectively inaccessible. Precisely for this reason, I consider it particularly important that the absence of an elevator, the number of stairs, and the access method be indicated extremely clearly in the description, so as to allow every guest to consciously evaluate whether the property is suitable for their needs.
To this is added another aspect that is fundamental for us: cleanliness and, more generally, the level of comfort.
The pillows have practically no padding, to the point that it feels like sleeping without any. But what made the stay anything but relaxing was above all the mattress, which was decidedly dated and uncomfortable. So much for rest and relaxation.
The connection is also a problem. The area is very isolated and phone reception is practically nonexistent. Furthermore, the property's Wi-Fi is extremely weak and unreliable. If you need to work, make calls, or simply stay connected, this is therefore an aspect to take seriously into consideration. Even the beach, in the photos shown by the property, is shown with sand, whereas, apparently, the entire Cartaromana coast has always been characterized by rocks and stones.
Mine is a criticism of the transparency of the information: it would be appropriate to provide guests with a much more complete and realistic description of the property's features, especially regarding accessibility, stairs, isolation, and available services. In this way, every person could choose consciously, avoiding discovering only once they have arrived aspects that can significantly affect the quality of the stay.

Bed was hard, the furniture in the room is extremely noisy as the room above us made all kinds of noise. The man at the front desk was very rude even for a typical local. We had to remove the sheets to remove sand like particles from the sheets.

We (myself and my 64 year old mom) stayed here at the end of June, and everything was wonderful. The service was excellent, the room was clean and nice, and dinner was delicious (and they always encouraged us to eat more). I have no complaints as to the noise- it felt almost like we were alone in our part of the building. We enjoyed the beach very much, and we appreciate all the help from the front desk.
