Hotel Terme La Pergola

My girlfriend had booked a double room for single use for a week 4 months ago. Before joining her for 2 nights, I asked her to check with management about the possibility of sharing the room. The manager's response was clear: since the room was already paid for, I would only have to pay the tourist tax and extras (dinner/breakfast). At check-out, however, I was charged 70% of the room cost as a supplement for a second person, in addition to the tax. When asked for clarification, the manager responded in a rude and aggressive manner, with the phrase: "Were you perhaps expecting a free service?". Having a ferry to catch, I paid to avoid further arguments. Other guests present at the reception also witnessed the scene and agreed with me. What happened afterwards was also unpleasant: my girlfriend, who stayed at the hotel for a few more days, was approached several times by the manager who spoke about me inappropriately. Other negative notes: presence of ants in the room, fruit at breakfast not well washed to the point of having to clean it with a tissue, and a location that is too difficult to reach. Only positive note: the kindness of the dining room and reception staff. I am very disappointed and do not recommend the hotel to anyone looking for transparency and respect for the guest.

We spent a dream week, having maximum cleanliness in the room with daily changes, highly professional staff, high-level thermal baths and pools, exquisite cuisine with an exquisite buffet breakfast and seasonal fruits of their own production. A family atmosphere from the owners. That the property is located 1800 m from the center is not a problem, but a merit for the tranquility. There is a shuttle available and small public buses with a stop at the Hotel.

Kind, welcoming and professional staff. Clean and tidy rooms, a property that offers everything to spend days in perfect relaxation with several pools and a wellness center. Excellent food, characterized by high-quality raw ingredients. Hotel management always present to take care of guests' needs. The free shuttle service that takes guests from the property to Lacco Ameno is also excellent. Experience to be repeated. I highly recommend it.
