Grand Majestic Gia' Baglioni

The staff are superb from the start to the end. Very helpful and happy. The location is excellent. Rooms great. Easy walk to all main spots and cafes and restaurants. It’s quiet at night and easy to sleep. I really enjoyed my stay.

This hotel is fantastic in every way...and I am a 5-star hotel aficionado, and a tough critic. I spent 1 week there starting July 12th. It is very luxurious; beautifully-designed in a classic old-world Italian antique style, with shimmering marble floors, beautifully-appointed rooms, and a staff whose courtesy level is second-to-none. But particular praise goes to Elena, Tamara and David at the Front Desk, who couldn't have been more hospitable, charming and helpful over the course of my stay, including helping me with a quick medical issue that I unexpectedly encountered while there. I would return here with my family in a heartbeat, and suggest you experience it, too. Also go for breakfast there...there is a delcious buffet. Bravo to the owners and to the team!

This was our second stay at the Grand Hotel Majestic già Baglioni and it was, if anything, even better than the first. Some places you return to hoping they live up to the memory. This one exceeded it. We stayed in the Giuseppe Verdi Presidential Suite and it was simply stunning — beautifully appointed, utterly luxurious, and with everything you could possibly need. The hotel itself is magnificent; a true Bologna landmark sitting right in the heart of the city. Dinner at I Carracci was an absolute highlight. The setting is breathtaking — a vaulted ceiling covered in frescoes by the school of the Carracci brothers, one of the most remarkable dining rooms I have ever sat in. But the food and wine matched the surroundings entirely. The wine tasting was the best I have had in a long time, and the whole evening was simply wonderful. The team in I Carracci made it — warm, knowledgeable, professional and genuinely great company. It's also worth noting that the hotel takes sustainability seriously, which matters and is increasingly rare at this level. But the true gem of this hotel, as with our first visit, is the staff. From reception to valet to room service, without exception, everyone was attentive, helpful and a genuine pleasure. Communication ahead of our stay was excellent too — you felt looked after before you'd even arrived. We cannot wait to go back.
